Brian forbids Mikey to tell Justin how much he misses them and plans a surprise visit, then hears work for the Rage movie will take three, four months longer, so he drops the plan and tells Mikey he doesn't expect his lover back at all. Justin is actually knee-deep in naked hunks at a Hollywood pool party. When Debbie and Carl return home, they are treated to Emmett's nude live action show with Shawn, legs-up. The one-day-married men find Hunter at their neighbors' rave, rather then studying, Ben considers moving to a quieter quarter. Ted shows Brian amazingly good financial results for Kinnetics' first year and suggests an extravagant self-treat. Brett Keller has casted Rage- to Justin's surprise, his officially 'straight' mate Connor James, who actually jumps straight back into Justin's horny hole. At the surprise party for ten years Mel and Lin, Emmett tells Debbie it's time to move out, even if she wants him to stay, then the lesbians confess they are separated since their daughter's birth, Mikey is disgusted, disappointed Brian didn't tell, and hence ready to move. Just now Brian needs his hunting ground most, the police closes down Babylon because of Sapperstein's malefactions, which actually solves another problem. Brett has terrible news too...

Back in Business

Brian holds -now his- nightclub Babylon's reopening, but even manager Ted's deep-felt aggravation to be addressed loudly as Sir is objectively topped by Brian's to find a mere twelve men turned up, the outdated competing club Popperz got all the boys' business, even Emmett defects. Mikey and Ben's claim to joint custody of his daughter Jenny isn't only fought by the separated lesbian 'co-mothers', even knowing Mel is belligerent a lawyer, but also taken as an insult to single mothers by ma Debby and even disapproved by Gus's father Brian. Wedding coordinator Emmett saves a mismatched couple from every panic attack of the bossy bride; afterward the groom Magruder wants him- for a gay segment in his TV news show. Justin's Hollywood patron Brett Keller assures him Rage will still happen once he finds another studio, but he doesn't hold his breath. Back home, finding Brian back in the saddle, riding some spankable stud, is a sight for sore eyes and the irresistible turn-on they both needed now. ...

Despite Barnum publicity and a blitz SM act, Brian's club still gets none of Popperz' clientèle back, yet he waves Ted's suggestion to sell Babylon as valuable real-estate. Emmet, who feels like an outsider among his TV studio colleagues. After one show he's told 'The Queer Guy' is to be canceled as 'not queer enough', but his trade-mark flamboyant second one-minute segment turns the tide. Justin and Debbie help Mikey and Ben move into their new house. Fearing Mel's professional advantage, Lindsay sees no alternative but take Brian's money to get her own aggressive lawyer. Now Mikey feels like they'll have to split custody three-ways. Carl Horvath tells Debbie his income is enough for both of them, so she starts interviewing for a replacement. She settles with Loretta who needs the job more and gets a big farewell, but Mikey's flowers really do it for her.

Hard Decisions

Ted is about to have his plastic surgery, Emmett helps him trough last minute doubts. Brian prepares a superheroes party in Babylon, somehow hoping to lure Mikey back to the inner city. Hunter is happy in his school's swim team thanks to Ben's paternal support, but when he hits his head and bleeds in the pool, HIV-panic strikes, the seropositive kid considers dropping out completely even before the gay bashing begins. Debbie has everything she wants, and time to enjoy it, but now envies lesbian Loretta Pye who has 'her' job and popularity, yet helps her when husband Daryl claims her back. The three way-split custody makes all parents unhappy.

Hunter's bleeding in the pool has made him an outcast at school, once more demoralized and deadly aggressive, but he insists to join a parents meeting called by principal Everett, where Dr. Davidson should reassure everyone, a complete failure- and enough to motivate pig-headed Hunter to take a stand, in that school, but not for long, even worse... Brian didn't mind dropping trou for the doctor, was startled the diagnosis was syphilis -188O? No, back these days-, relieved penicillin should cure it in days, but must tell all his sexual partners they must get tested. Brian starts with Justin, who has taken up home cooking, the spreads the word at Babylon, where it runs faster then fire. Em warns Deb that Loretta's gratitude with three kinds of sweets is more, a lesbian overture to be nipped in the bud if unwelcome, but Deb comes along to a dikes bar before pointing out she's straight, and with Carl. Ted is so depressed about his yet unhealed new face that even Em may not see it and has a hard time convincing Ted it will heal, he's not turned into a a freak, so they 'test' it in a -actuallly that very- lesbian gay bar- which makes it even worse, but all he really needed are Em's make-up art and white lies from the 'old boys'. Mel and Linz are fighting full-time, no more making-up; a baby ER-rush seems to make it worse between both couples, but actually forces them to realize the child must come first. Brian sneers to Ben he and Mikey have turned into boring parenting fake-heteros.

Bored Out of Ya Fucking Mind

Hunter says he's looking forward to his debate club presentation, pro capital punishment; Ben finds out he plays hookie all week because he's shunned. The new Queer Guy is a hit, even with gay-bashing fans, so Em holds a department store fan session giving fashion advice, only Brian calls him just another cute queer clown. Ted is determined to get even when he spots Troy, the stud who had sex with him out of pity at Pride 2002 in the gym, and doesn't even recognize him. Deb refuses Carl nursing her when she feels sick, but doctors can't find anything wrong.

Hope Against Hope

Ben is torn apart by 'guilt' because he and Mikey failed to prevent Hunter from running away. Brian is tortured by everyone's comments while Ted 'delays' his revenge. An extremely homophobic bill, proposition 14, risks to overturn most gay rights and even Mikey feels this calls for determined action, but Ben cares only about missing Hunter. Justin decides it's no use trying to be partners with Brian, as he won't commit to him. Lindsay's mother feels she got a bad deal moving out from Mel's, and insists she move back in. She meets a the father of a precocious 5 year-old boy, but learns her parents still pretend that she's straight. When Ted sees Troy is still behaving badly, he tells the truth and dumps the him but it feels bitter, not triumphant. Jealous Brian orders that his rival, Brandon, is barred from Babylon

Honest to Yourself

Brian and his rising younger challenger Brandon have agreed a list of ten hottest guys and a bet: if Brandon has sex with them all first, his ban from Babylon is lifted, if Brian 'gets in' first, he may penetrate Brandon. While Mikey is disgusted at Brian's rudeness and welcomes Justin in their new home, Ben remains depressed by the departure of Hunter, and finally gets more news, but not from him. During the gay rights defense campaign against Proposition 14, Mel and Linz try to get along in one home again, and Justin faces harsh opposition: his own father, businessman Craig, personally orders the 'strayed' boy arrested. Deb was furious at Carl for failing to take Emmet's 'phone stalker' serious, but the mystery caller makes a live appearance: it's Drew, he got black-mailed by a paparazzo who found out he's a closet queer, told his wife Sierra, who left Drew, who is now followed by the press; Em makes him reconsider if suing is the answer: only coming out can truly free him. It takes superior effort and brains, even for super-stud Brian, but the reigning queer king finally triumphs so Brandon comes to his loft to strip submissively and offer his spread butt-cheeks as the conquered prize, albeit still cheeky enough to say he'll seize the throne eventually.

Despite his ongoing worrying about missing Hunter, Ben is again capable of a lively love-life with Michael and both commit to the general mobilization against gay-bashing proposition 14, a hard fight. Even Debbie pleads in vain Mikey and Brian shouldn't sacrifice a life-long friendship for a verbal row. Despite his new success in one-night stands, Ted really longs for a stable relationship, and on Mel's advice a Jew makes the 'best husband' finds urologist Dr. Adam Bernstein, with a taste for ballet, but once his uncut cock is hornily waiting for a private performance his gentile genitals don't pass mating eligibility-muster. Brian almost despairs gloomily now all his guy friends seem to be drifting into boring monogamy, Deb bringing a macaroni casserole and joint doesn't help. Justin learns with surprise and natural reluctance his mother is finally divorced from his gay-bashing dad and dates a biker half her age since six months, Tucker 'Tuck', a teacher at Molly's school. The lesbians are on good enough terms again for Mel's new friend Corinne to be invited by Linz to the gallery show she organizes starring Justin. Em and Deb continue to encourage Drew to come out, which he finally does on Channel 5's news, including the Guy Gay's decisive part.

Brian has got a clean bill of oncology, decides to go celebrate in the Sidney Mardi Gras and passionately prepares: pumping an Aussie stud for information and with his healthy seed. The fight against homophobic Proposal 14 is uphill, after the hotel venue was denied for the center's benefit Mikey has to swallow his proud break-up with Brian -even worsened by the Drew dump- and ask him to allow it at Babylon: now Brian even waves 'as his contribution' the $10,000 hotel Le Montage would have charged. Ted tries to find a mate on a website for gay quality career men, alas all too dull to advertise for more then cuddling after a long day, but he seems to hit on life with Lewis, who braves his phobia for crowds to join Ted at the benefit but regrets it bitterly: a major explosion in Babylon makes many victims; Michael is badly wounded. The horror makes Justin and Brian openly recall how much they need each-other.

The lesbos announce they move to Toronto, afraid of US gaybashers, but only if the fathers accept them taking the kids- Brian does, Michael not but ends up giving in to child-safety, Justin convinces Brian he's a loving father too, so his answer is: not with Gus. Justin needs no time to refuse Linz's suggestion to move to art capital New York, Linz shows Brian the praising critics.
