This time a shopping mall has been targeted by ferocious Raptors and the team is called in to deal with the situation. Faced with an unknown terror, Cutter and the team rely on their wits to get the monsters back through the anomaly.

Connor has tested his anomaly-detector, but it seems to have failed to detect one near an amusement park when a guest if killed by a creature that appears to be a giant cat. Thinking a local man who used to import lions for sale is behind the attack, the team assembles in case it is something else. When the manager of the park is killed in sight of a trainspotter (with a camera), it's clear a sabertooth tiger is roaming about, but it also appears that someone is hiding it during the day.

An anomaly under water unleashes a creature that might be a much-evolved shark from the future; but killing it doesn't end the problem, since at least one other creature is lurking in the depths, and takes Abby while she is on a boat looking for the thing. This sets off more tension in the team as Connor blames Nick for abandoning the search for Abby and Steven thinks they are looking in the wrong place.

Taylor is a young girl whose dog runs off and through an anomaly. She follows and is trapped in the past in a sand-strewn world inhabited by giant scorpions that burrow underground and attack prey through surface vibrations. When part of Leek's army goes through the anomaly they battle the creatures; Nick and Steven soon follow and attempt to bring Taylor back to her own time.

Traitor Revealed

When a mammoth tramples commuters on a busy motorway, the secret of the anomalies seems to be out -- hundreds of people have seen the carnage. The creature is captured but when the anomaly closes it is brought back to headquarters. Through misdirection everyone but Lester is lured away from headquarters and Leek attempts to kill Lester with one of his future creatures. Meanwhile the rest of the team is captured by Leek and discover he and Helen are working together to control the anomalies, and have assembled a zoo of ancient and future creatures.

Concrete Menagerie

As her plot to control the anomalies and the future of the human race begins to fall apart Helen continues to play Steven and Nick against each other. Nick and Leek have a confrontation surrounded by Leek's future creature horde (his "Praetorian Guard") and most of the rest of the team manages to escape the compound which is overrun with creatures from the zoo that have been unleashed by a computer crash.
