A woman creates a community center in an old inner-city gym called Powerhouse that belonged to her father. As things turn out, the move attracts the opposition of criminals whom a group of five teenage attendees of the center manage to find and capture. Furthermore, that incident is the first of a series of cases that the kids investigate by using their knowledge of science, fitness, and other areas, while addressing other serious issues. Interspersed in the show are un-commercials that promote health, social attitudes, and physical activity.
