Popeye and Olive go out for a drive in the country, but they run out of gas. Brutus's garage is nearby, but that's no stroke of luck. Brutus cheats Popeye on the price of the gas, "accidentally" squirts him with oil and sabotages his motor. Worst of all, he flirts with Olive. Soon he's got Olive in the front seat of his tow truck, while Popeye remains in the car. But Brutus "accidentally" loses Popeye's car, thus losing Popeye, leaving him free to hit on Olive. Luckily, Popeye keeps spinach in his glove compartment.

Olive Oyl is bored with Popeye just sitting around her house playing with a yo-yo. She wants him to be romantic, but Popeye considers that to be sissy. Olive cooks up a plot to make Popeye jealous. She fries up some hamburgers and then uses an electric fan to blow the aroma over to Wimpy's house. The trick works and soon Wimpy is in her kitchen using food analogies as compliments, e.g. "Your eyes are like limpid pools of chicken fat." Popeye laughs this all off until he hears the unmistakable smack of a kiss (which Olive planted on Wimpy's nose). Popeye challenges Wimpy to a fight, but Wimpy declares that fisticuffs are beneath his dignity. Instead, he proposes an eating duel.

Popeye and Olive are rubber-necked tourists in India when the Sea Hag and her trusty vulture arrive in the mysterious and mystical country to commit a terrible crime. The Sea Hag disguises herself as a peddler in order to hypnotize Olive with a magical perfume. While under the Sea Hag's spell, Olive steals the sacred emerald from the crown of a jade idol. The moment she removes the jewel from the public statue and puts it in her purse, the idol strikes her with a lightning bolt, which brings her back to reality. The Sea Hag tries to steal Olive's purse, but Olive cries out for Popeye, who didn't notice until now she was gone from his side. Popeye sends the Sea Hag scurrying away, but Olive's troubles aren't over yet. Olive is cursed for having stolen the gem, which is why the Sea Hag had her do it in the first place. Now her life and Popeye's are in terrible danger.

It's springtime and Olive notices her lovebird, Juliet, is very unhappy. She calls Popeye to come over and he's through her front door before she puts down the receiver. She explains that her Juliet needs a boyfriend. Popeye goes to the pet shop to buy a "romantical boy loveboid." He finds a lonely one, appropriately named Romeo, and brings him to Juliet. The two are happy for a few moments before they start quarreling. Romeo gets angry and flies away. Juliet is heartbroken. "You men are all alike!" shouts Olive at Popeye. She tells Popeye that if he doesn't bring back Romeo, she'll never speak to him again.

Olive is a reporter who's so busy that she doesn't have time to be with Popeye. Her boss then tells her that there are rumored reports of a sea serpent at lochness so he sends her to check it out. Popeye tells her there's no such thing. When she arrives she meets, the man who knows about the Sea Serpent, Brutus. He charges her for every piece of info he gives her. Popeye is incredulous and finds evidence that Brutus is a fake.

Olive Oyl buys a new lamp at an auction sale, little guessing that it's the famous Aladdin's lamp, complete with a butler-like genie. But the Sea Hag knows the truth worth of Olive's antique. The evil witch steals the lamp and takes it back to her ship where she summons the genie and orders him to make her rich. The genie does so by turning a barrel into solid gold, a rusty chain into precious stones and a rope into a string of enormous pearls. Meanwhile, Popeye climbs aboard ship determined to get Olive's antique back for her.

The Sea Hag is planning to steal a leprechaun's gold by finding a leprechaun and making him tell her where his gold is. Popeye knowing that she's up to something follows her. When he encounters her, her vulture knocks him out. A leprechaun finds him and helps him. Later the same leprechaun runs into the Sea Hag and she makes him tell her where his gold is. When the other leprechauns learn what he did they banish him. When Popeye runs into him, he tells Popeye what happened Popeye sets to get the gold back.

Popeye is shipping canned hamburgers. And when Wimpy hears of this, he offers to protect them. Popeye is hesitant to let him. But he agrees but on the condition that he let the Wiffle Bird put a spell on Wimpy making him not like hamburgers. So while they sail, the Sea Hag shows up and plots to make off with the cargo and offers Wimpy part of the hamburgers. But when he refuses she puts a spell on him making him her slave.

When the Sea Hag overhears Popeye wishing that he was lucky, she asks her vulture to get out of her pouch a coin which gives whoever has it bad luck and throws it at Popeye hoping he will be cursed. But the vulture gave Popeye her gold luck coin which grants three wishes. When Popeye uses it, Sea Hag tries to get it back before he uses the other two. Knowing that he's on his way to pick up Olive for a date, the Sea Hag gets there before Popeye does, binds and gags the slender brunette, then makes herself look like Olive. She then goes with Popeye to the dance planning to steal the coin, using violence if necessary.

Brutus goes to see the Sea Hag in the hopes that she will make him a youth potion to impress Olive. The potion changes his whole appearance and everything goes to plan until Olive finds out who he really is.

Olive Oyl's niece Diesel refuses to go to bed, which means it's up to her "Uncle" Popeye to tell her a bedtime story. He settles on "The Mark of Zero," his own version of the story of Zorro. The story is dramatized for us starring Popeye himself as the Mark of Zero, who is dressed rather like Robin Hood, and Brutus as the leader of a robber band.

Poopdeck Pappy is suddenly frightened of a mysterious flute melody that wafts through the air. At first Popeye and Olive cannot hear the haunting melody, but Pappy tells them about when he was a young man, and he was attracted to a young woman, a jewel of the sea, who tried to seduce him but turned out to be Wicked Seahag in disguise. Upon discovering her true identity Pappy fled, and Seahag vowed revenge. Now she has discovered a flute melody that can hypnotize Pappy into her trap, and when Popeye and Olive finally do hear the haunting melody, Pappy becomes hypnotized drawn to the dungeon of a distant castle, where Popeye must enlist the aid of Eugene The Jeep is rescue him.

Popeye drinks a potion which turns him into a coward, Brutus tries to take his place as Olive Oyl's date and Popeye finally manages to get hold of some spinach which gives him back his bravery.

Popeye and Brutus are fighting over Olive as the three of them take a walk through the park. Olive tells them she's sick of their childish bickering. Why don't they go out and do something important? As she says it, she happens to be standing next to a statue of Admiral Peary, who discovered the North Pole. "He only discovered it," boasts Popeye. "I'll brings it back here." Brutus denigrates the idea, but Olive says she'll go out with the first person to bring her back the North Pole. Brutus travels in a rocket ship, Popeye in a hot-air balloon. Both reach the red-and-white-striped pole, but only one brings it back.

Wimpy realizes he has a problem with hamburgers, Popeye helps him to contact Hamburger Anonymous. Meanwhile the SeaHag realizes her burger bar is missing it's best customer and takes steps to ruin Wimpy's attempts to break his addiction.

Popeye and Olive are on a date at the local museum and see an armored knights exhibit. The curator (Brutus) and Ms. Oyl become attracted to each other, so Brutus butts in and a fight breaks out between him and the sailor over her. Olive then suggests they have a jousting tournament to settle their argument.

While going through a tunnel of love boat ride, Olive notices a lot decorative jewels and other valuables and wishes they were real. That's when the Wiffle Bird shows and says they can be by just touching his feathers and wishing it. And it happens. So she and Popeye grab buckets of the jewels and makes their way out but the Wiffle Bird shows to tell them that there are three dangerous dangers that anyone who tries to take anything will have to face. While Popeye prefers to leave everything behind Olive says they go on with them.

Popeye is having a very strange day. The Sea Hag tries to kidnap him, Wimpy offers to buy him lunch, and then he sees Olive going to the movies with Brutus.

Popeye is attracting customers to his medicine show by acting as a one-man band, while Olive Oyl does the barking for him. He's selling Spinach Health Juice, which he tells his audience will bring back their "vim, vigor and vitaliky" and "prevent sunburn, windburn and moonburn." Dr. Quack, aka Brutus, paints pills from his nearby office and overhears the sales pitch. Popeye's health juice could ruin his practice. He decides to put an end to it by creating his own lookalike bottle of Spinach Health Juice, filled with Tabasco sauce, red pepper, ground horseradish, red-hot mustard and green horse liniment. He tricks Popeye into drinking it, which gives Popeye a terrible case of hiccups. Olive begs Dr. Quack to cure Popeye, but Quack is only interested in making the hiccups worse--and in getting Olive in his clutches.

Wimpy, now hungry and desperate, happens across a bird that he captures and hopes to eat. It turns out to be the magical Wiffle bird, which casts a spell on him in revenge. Whenever Wimpy says the word "hamburger", he changes into a werewolf. Meanwhile at the diner, Popeye expresses regret for his stinginess, when suddenly a newscaster on TV warns the public about a werewolf running loose. Popeye soon discovers the true identity of this wolf-man and seeks out the Wiffle bird to convince her to break the spell.
