Four soldiers on a training exercise in the Peaks run into trouble when their Sergeant is taken ill. Fortunately, Dr Joanna Graham (Haydn Gwynn) is hiking in the area and is able to assist. Dr Attwood (Gary Mavers) is helicoptered in to assist with an emergency operation. At the new Beeches Surgery which is still undergoing building work, Dr Sam Morgan (Joseph Millson) and Dawn (Sarah Parish) deliver a baby and Alice North (Margery Mason) joins them for a celebratory drink.
