When Aunt Nana reads a storybook to PB&J and their friends, she stops half-way to carry on in her obligation, thus the kids decide to make their own continuation of the tale. The Otter kids and their buddies enter a boat race in the lake.

Aunt Nanner takes her nieces, nephew, Flick, and Munchy to visit a pond she and Opal used to swim in as children. Munchy is beyond sad when his favorite toy boat gets damaged, but his friends are determined to help him get over it.

The Otter kids receive a gift from their aunt, but they must wait for her to come before they open it which they find difficult. A hot air balloon gets stuck in the trees, and the children of the vicinity mistake it for a vicious beast.

PB&J think Aunt Nanner's latest visit may be the last, thus they are willing to keep her close to them. The Otter kids want to ride on Mayor Jeff's boat, but they must find their life jackets hidden in a pile of their stuff in their room.

The children of Lake Hoo Haw enter a multi-game event with limited rules. Edward thinks he is wise in the mountain hike because he has innovative tools, but Earnest tries to tell him the path he chooses has itch-inducing plants.
