Episode 1
A Darkness Surrounds Him

Kyle is leading a self-destructive lifestyle while still having nightmares about his childhood, when his mother terrorized him. His sister Megan gets him out of the house at the local supermarket, where he finds out about Joshua, a boy who seems to be acting in a similar way as his mother. The town believes Joshua is possessed by a dark force. In the meantime Megan brings Kyle into her home to have dinner with her daughter and her husband, who can't stand him. However, he gets scared away when his niece reminds him of his past and what he did to his own daughter Amber. The next day Kyle decides to get involved in Joshua's case.

(I Remember) When She Loved Me

Two days later Reverend Anderson believes Kyle cured Joshua by sending the demon away. However, he's warned by Chief Giles that Kyle is trouble. Kyle visits his mother in the hospital. Astonished by the conditions in which his mother lives at the hospital, he decides to take her home. Reverend Anderson and Kyle attempt to wake Kyle's mother up. Megan goes to the birthday party of Kyle's daughter. Chief Giles and Megan's husband go on a trip in the forest.

While out at a bar with friends, Blake starts feeling funny. His friends bring him to their home. While his friend goes shopping, Blake attacks and kills the friend's wife. Reverend Anderson and Kyle go on a trip to the prison where Blake is held and attempt to perform an exorcism. The demon tells Kyle he is an outcast and makes him an offer. Mark goes back to the place in the woods where he and Chief Giles found blood to collect evidence. Megan's stalker returns to town.

Reverend Anderson and Kyle bury Kyle's neighbor. At the funeral they're approached by Sidney who claims to have been the dead man's old friend. Donnie approaches Megan and Mark, who are out on a date at a restaurant. He then runs into Kyle at a bar but Kyle is not too happy about his return to Rome. Reverend Anderson takes Kyle on a drive, down to a family where the mother acts very strangely and seems to know a lot of details from Kyle's life. Megan finally confronts Donnie. Chief Giles goes backpacking in the woods while following one of his presumed buddies.
