After taking on the new identity, Sarah quickly finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy and must race to find answers.

Cosima doesn't know who shot Katia but needs Sarah to continue posing as Beth if they have any hope of finding out. Art Bell gets an anonymous phone call from the killer about Katia's death telling him where to look for the site of the shooting. Sarah learns what Beth's $75,000 was meant for. Sarah and Art follow a lead and she comes face to face with the killer - another clone.

Still posing as Beth, Sarah and Beth's police partner Art Bell begin to track down the woman who attacked her. They find the house where she obviously did some self-surgery. She also left a message for Beth. She contacts Beth to arrange a meeting and identifies herself as Helena. Sarah finds a connection with Maggie Chen, the woman Beth shot. When she can't make a rendezvous to see her daughter Kira, Sarah has an easy solution.

After spending the night with Paul, Sarah begins to wonder whether a dream she had had the same night - of being examined by doctors - was in fact real. She believes Beth was spying on Paul and searches his apartment. He was once in the military but at his work, she finds that his desk drawers are empty. Vic's partners want their cocaine back, and later, he can't believe his eyes when he sees Alison - thinking she's Sarah. At school in Minnesota, Cosima continues to analyze the blood samples found in Katja's briefcase. She also meets a French exchange student, Delphine Cormier, to whom she finds herself attracted. Meanwhile, Alison harbors suspicions about her husband and is convinced he is hiding something. She takes her own steps to find out what it is.

Paul also arrives which works to Sarah's advantage. He has his own agenda however. In Minneapolis, Cosine and her new friend Delphine attend a lecture by Dr. Aldous Leekie.

Paul now knows the truth about Beth, Sarah and the cloning. He has a meeting with his handler Olivier but keeps his knowledge of the information to himself. Cosima suspects that Delphine is her monitor and is confident she can control their relationship and any fallout that may occur. Helena is recovering from her wounds but tells Sarah she wants the names of the other clones. The police meanwhile have determined that the victim from the gravel pit and the killer in the bathroom have identical DNA. They assume it must be the same person or that the samples were tampered with. Sarah learns about some of her past from Mrs. S. Olivier receives orders to bring Beth in when medical tests reveal an impostor.

Entangled Bank

Cosima and Sarah quarrel over Cosima's obvious interest in neolution and Dr. Leekie's work. Leekie wants Delphine to find the names of the clones Cosina has been in contact with. Alison tells Sarah she and her husband are getting a divorce. She is also certain she knows the identity of her monitor and decides the time has come to get her own back. The police think the body they found in the gravel pit is Sarah and call on Mrs. S to deliver the bad news. As they gather more information, they are baffled by the conflicting evidence. They thought the Jane Doe from the gravel pit was Sarah but they now have evidence that Sarah jumped in front of a train weeks before Jane Doe died. They call on Felix who identified Sarah as the jumper.
Episode 9
Unconscious Selection

Kira is rushed to hospital after having been struck by a car. Miraculously, she is unhurt and is soon home. Alison has moved in with Felix while she looks for a place to live. When she returns to her home, she finds her husband and their friends waiting for her. In Minnesota, Cosima is pleased to learn that Kira is well but not so pleased when she learns what Delphine has been up to. Art gives Beth one last chance to tell him what is going on. He finally gets to see the security footage from the train station. Dr. Leekie arrives but isn't easily fooled. He knows about Sarah through the information he received from Delphine and wants to offer her a deal. What he tells her isn't quite what she was expecting. When Sarah returns to Mrs S.'s house, she has something of a surprise waiting for her.

Endless Forms Most Beautiful

With the revelation about her special connection to Helena, Sarah wants to make sure Helena understands she is not the original. Sarah is soon arrested however as Art has finally figured out it was Beth who killed herself by jumping in front of the train. Dr. Leekie visits Alison and offers her a deal. He does the same with Cosima who has just arrived in town. Sarah meets another version of herself, Rachel Duncan, who offers to explain all if only she signs an agreement. The three orphans agree to do what is best for each of them individually. Alison just wants her life back and seizes an opportunity to take revenge on the person she thinks is her watcher. Cosima and Delphine mend fences but find something startling. Sarah returns home only to find something very wrong.
