Episode 1
After their drugs bust went unexpectedly badly, Stokes and Hendy are still on routine detective duty, staking out the house of a rich couple who've been kidnapped. Elsewhere, criminals Steve and Neddy are guarding the couple in Neddy's basement, awaiting further instructions from the boss. After finding excrement in her new boyfriend's boot, Carol is still concerned about Lachy's behaviour.
Episode 2
A video of a rugby star has gone viral after he did something very inadvisable to some fish at a post-match celebration party. At the house where they're guarding kidnapped Elizabeth and Bernie, Neddy explains rugby bonding rituals to Steve. Downstairs, Elizabeth and Bernie worry about how their kidnappers are going to treat them. And in the car outside their house, it's Stokes' birthday.
Episode 3
Stokes and Hendy are joined in the car by Carol's son Lachy and share some stories about their own teenage misadventures. Carol complains to a shocked April that she's been put on a shift with disabled Lee. Bungling kidnappers Steve and Neddy have a bold new plan to placate their angry boss.
Episode 4
After April's transfer back to her old job, Carol is excited about her new colleague in despatch. At the kidnap house, Bruce and Jimmy are back on the job after their art cafe venture on the Sapphire Coast didn't go as planned, and they're working through their feelings about it. Still tied up downstairs, Bernie is stunned to learn that Elizabeth has always wanted to be a stand-up comedian. In the car with Hendy, Stokes is trying out a new nap regime.
Episode 5
Stokes and Hendy have been separated for Code 4 Misconduct. Stokes has a new partner, Rainer. He calls Hendy, who also has a new partner - April. Stokes tries to break the ice with Rainer to ice cold reception.
Episode 6
Hendy and Stokes are outside the house where Stokes thinks the Doolan's are being held captive. Hendy is jealous when Stokes reveals what he wants to say at Rainer's funeral.
