Set 1,300 years after the events of "How to Train Your Dragon," dragons are now just a legend to the modern world. When a geological anomaly opens an immense, miles-deep fissure in the Earth's surface, scientists from all over the world gather at a new research facility to study the mysterious phenomenon. Soon after, a group of misfit kids uncovers the truth about where dragons have been hiding -- a secret they must keep to protect what they've discovered.

Luckily, he's got his best friends to help him unmuck even the muckiest of mucky circumstances. Mona Lisa's brains and class help him navigate the public eye, while his plucky best friend Dotty does a great job helping Moley in all his adventures. He's also got the ancient wisdom of Mystic Mole in his corner as well as the inventive sort-of-know-how of Mishmosh to help overcome molehills that are especially mountainous.

Set in a vivid, hyper-realistic land inhabited by ferocious and often silly dinosaurs. While the landscape and dinosaurs may be prehistoric, modern elements familiar to kids, from ice cream cones to race cars, will burst onto the scene.
