Episode 1

Mischievous but creative farm boy Nils Holgersson is delighted when his parents leave him alone, promising to do a list of chores. The farm animals get restless as he keeps delaying feeding them, absorbed by his flying device model. Neither does he mend the fence, no longer fox-proof. Bumbling with bis toy, he stumbles upon ad semi-accidentally catches an elf, whom he forces to grant him a wish. He chooses flying, but only gets a passive variation: a ride on the back of goose Martin, after being shrunken to mouse size. The goose only agrees after Nils does his chores and the scary fox arrives, so after a test flight they decide to follow a migrating flock of geese, including an eagle believing to be a goose.

Episode 2

Devine qui vient diner?

Miniaturized Nils greatly enjoys flying on farm gander Martin's back in the small flock of wild geese. When they land to forage, a fox sees his chance to hunt for savory goose meat, so a grim battle of wits ensues against the crafty rascal, who ultimately wins out.

Episode 3

Les aventuriers des terres du sud

Nils falls, having taunted Martin too often to a looping, but the latter decides on his own to eat shiny red berries, which alas render him sick, spelling a delay too long for the migratory schedule. Wandering off, Nils meets and soon befriends immature elf Lina, who knows a cure. Alas, it's controlled by the evil black elf, who she and her ermine mount Herman are looking for to liberate her father. Nils offers help to search any underground access in the surrounding forest, which Akka refuses but has to anyhow when Nils sneaks off. Nils and Lina take on the black elf and liberate her father, who turns out to be the elf who miniaturized Nils, but now grants him a wish.

Episode 4

Elf Help

Nils gets Martin to try a loop too many, causing him to crash and need days to recover, which would ruin the geese migratory planning. Nils calls a magical marker from elf Lina who promised help any time and comes, but proves so clumsy at healing that she even transforms Martin in a sick frog. She does now a cure: mandrake, but that root is only cultivated in the forest by the black elf, to magnify his dark magic power. Nils takes the elf along to steal it from him, starting a fight a chase during which the roots are wrecked, yet Nils was prepared.

Episode 5

La grosse Gorgo

The flock of geese splits in panic when suddenly attacked by two wild eagles. who chase Martin and Nils who can just seek refuge in a cave, which collapses as the eagles pound its narrow entrance. Nils can just wriggle out and wait for help from the others, who catch up fearfully. Nils trains Gorgo to act as an eagle, nay dress up in fancy feathers as the king of predatory birds. The eagles aren't easily convinced, but Nils comes up with another ploy, pretending and 'proving' to be a powerful elf.

Episode 6

The Star Stone

When a tiny magical meteorite falls into the forest, both Nils's elf friend Lia and the black elf sense it and realize it's a star stone, which can enhance the finder's elf power enormously, so race for it. Nils is first on Martin, but the black elf manages to capture them and has them guarded in a cage by his raven. To escape, Nils must convince the 'hench-beast' he's mistreated by his ingrate master, hence owes him no loyalty, demonstrating his own true friendship with Martin.

Episode 7

The Tornado

A storm is approaching rapidly and the geese must interrupt their migration to take shelter. However, all the natural shelters were destroyed in the last storm. Only the ruins of a cabin are left. So, should they continue their flight or try to rebuild the cabin?

Episode 8

The Leader's Wings

12 mins

Akka's wing is disabled by falling stones, so during her recuperation she transfers command to Gorgo. Duly finding the mindless eagle unfit, Nils campaigns to have Martin elected instead, with himself as 'deputized' power behind the throne. Martin however soon wants to enjoy his position and gets into a row with Nils, who is abandoned within the fox's reach, while Martin can't properly lead the flock alone, so they realize last-minute cooperation is required until Akka recovers.

Episode 9

The Challenge

In order to recover a piece of magic crystal, the Black Elf challenges the geese to a race. Martin will be their champion but without Nils as Akka has punished him for flying through a thunderstorm. Martin is losing to Krobak as the Black Elf cheats to make his champion win and Nils tries everything to make Akka change her mind...

Big Fat Gorgo

Following a remark by Nils, Gorgo is worried about his 'special' physique. Has he discovered that he is not a goose? No, he just thinks he is too fat compared to the rest of the flock. Still sure that he is a goose but now full of complexes, the eagle loses his self-confidence.

Episode 11

Too Small

Because of Nils, Martin and Pretty Wing freeze their wings and find themselves stuck in a crevasse. Nils feels too small to help them but, thanks to Akka, he will discover that his size does not matter and that his human knowledge can be very useful.

Episode 12

Two of a Kind

Nils persuades Martin to impress Soft Feather by doing an aerobatics demonstration. Unfortunately, Soft Feather and the rest of the flock are not impressed by Martin but more by Nils. Martin is angry, he did the aerobatics, Nils just told him what to do.

Episode 13

The Gingerbread House

Spotting a farm, Nils convinces Martin to sneakily stop there, so he can steal some gingerbread. When the farmer arrives, angry, they hide in a barn, where a she-goose showers Martin with presents and attention. As Nils soon suspects, she has a secret agenda: the fan she uses is made of tail fathers from her predecessors, which the farmer slaughtered, so she hopes Martin will take her place. They help her escape.

Episode 14

The Hero

Nils, helped by Martin, saves Akka from a great danger. Nils, unintentionally, gets all the praise for this and Martin becomes jealous. Wanting to be treated as a hero too, the gander leaves the flock, looking for an exploit to perform - whatever the danger... Can Nils open his eyes and find him in time?

Episode 15

Dizzy Dive

The flock is hungry and exhausted from a long flight over sea, doubting if they suffer from fata morgana when spotting a goose aboard a boat filled with cookies. A storm makes them seek shelter on an island where the cookie boat seems to have entered a cliff cave, but Akka forbids entering it, claiming it's too dangerous. He childhood buddy Freya is there, and tells Nils about their reckless days, when Akka championed a daring diver flight just there. As Akka refuses to try again, claiming she's too old and the others too inexperienced, Nils convinces Martin to learn the dazzling trick from Freya and try it themselves, finding the cookie treasure.

Episode 16

The Stowaway Stork

Nils, on Gorgo's back, manages to fly behind a waterfall. Excited by the exploit, they fly and see a group of migrating storks in the distance. Unfortunately, spotting the eagle, a young stork is scared and falls. Our heroes feel responsible for this; they dive and catch her. Now they must use cunning to hide the little stork from Akka and find some incredible ruses to return her to her family.

Martin's Nightmare

Martin has a nightmare but it is so real that he is sure something bad is going to happen to the flock. Nils thinks that this is just a result of Martin's none too brave nature and decides not to tell the others about the dream. However, everything happens exactly as in Martin's nightmare and our heroes find themselves in a very dangerous situation, shut in a barn with a totally crazy dog...

Episode 19

Double Personality

The Black Elf has stolen Roxor the elf's glove which allows him to control lightning. Lina asks Nils to help her recover the precious object. However, when they arrive at the Black Elf's lair, the villain has accidentally directed the lightning at himself and has now split into two distinct persons. They must quickly find a solution to merge the two Black Elves back into one person again.

Episode 20

A Child's Play

Nils and Martin are used as targets by Lars, a little devil of a 10 year-old boy who fires at them with his slingshot. The horrible child wants to use them to attract the whole flock in order to take their feathers - something that Nils too would have liked too before he was shrunk. However, Nils has totally changed and now wants to protect his new friends from this 'evil double'...

The Ice Garden

The flock of geese is flying over a glacial region, looking for food, when they find themselves in the middle of erupting geysers. Gorgo, Nils and Martin are separated from the rest of the group and discover a patch of green land covered in fruit and vegetables. Nils comes up with a scheme for slipping between the geysers but it does not work exactly as planned...

The Propeller

Wham! Nils knocks an abandoned bees nest off a tree with his propeller. He tries to find the propeller afterwards but cannot. The reason for this is that Krobak has stolen it for his master who needs the propeller to knock down the Gem of Destiny.

As they are on their way to join the flock again, Nils and Martin are caught by a group of warlike crows who have come to join the Black Elf.

An Eye for an Eye... A Beak for a Beak

Smirre attacks the geese once again and once again, our heroes just manage to escape but not after a bit more adventure...

Dear Burden

Athanor takes Lina on a mission to the heart of the Black Elf's lair. Martin and Nils arrive but Athanor does not want the two unpredictable heroes to take part. Will they be able to successfully complete the mission?

Solo Flight

Nils is frustrated in his desire to do aerobatics by Martin's fears and Akka's warnings. He is fuming with impatience when he sees A LITTLE FLYING SQUIRREL gliding from branch to branch. Nils thinks that if he could fly alone, he would no longer need Martin and the geese. The boy sets off to follow the squirrel. Unfortunately, the wind soon proves to be a danger leaving Nils in trouble...

The Wolverine

There are monsters around here!... Nils discovers that the monster is, in fact, Giulio a harmless and toothless old wolverine. However, the animal has a bad reputation and Akka categorically refuses to have this fearsome predator in the camp. But Nils refuses to listen, he trusts his new friend - who helps him to save Pretty Wing and Golden Eye from a she-wolf.

Episode 28

Sola's Light

Nils is charmed by Sola, Lina's cousin, a timid young elf whose power over light comes from a magical object that the Black Elf would very much like to get his hands on. As she flees from the villain, Sola loses her light-wand and her strength. Nils promises to find it before the Black Elf but he will have to show perseverance, something he tends to abandon when the going gets tough.

Big and Strong Like Gorgo

Gorgo does not see a tree and flies straight into it, losing his memory in the accident. This is a catastrophe for the geese but a miracle for Nils who finally has the chance to explain to Gorgo that he is not a goose but a powerful, majestic eagle...

One More Mile

Nils reproaches Akka again for her 'teacherish' attitude when the flock is fired on by hunters and must do an emergency landing in a forest to continue on foot. Akka knows there is a way out not far away... a short flight but a long way on foot. With the hunters still around, the flock has no choice but to walk...

Episode 31

Out of Blue

The flock welcomes Tristan, a domestic gander who saves them from a she-wolf. His intentions may be good but Tristan soon shows himself to be totally reckless and soon unwittingly leads the flock to Smirre the fox who challenges the gander to a duel. However, there is no question of sending Tristan against the fox, they need someone experienced who knows Smirre. Who will the gang choose...

Squeek

Riding Gogo, Nils spots a bag of cookies and makes him dive, but the eagle hits a tree and can't remember what happened for quite a while. Nils rivaled for the cookies with a lemming, the chase caused both to fall down into a deep pit. They can't just climb out, but Nils makes step supports and shares the treasure with the whole lemming horde, introduced by his new friend. Gorgo ends up remembering enough to guide the geese there.

Not Guilty

Martin has unfairly accused Golden Eye of stealing his hat, then he accuses Nils of eating all the berries they collected together. Nils and Golden Eye decide to play a trick on the gander with a fake lucky charm to show him what it is like to be unfairly accused...

Episode 35

The Exile

Nils dreams of going to see a solar eclipse and, so that the flock will take off to watch it, he lures Smirre the fox into their camp. The plan goes wrong and Nils finds himself expelled from the flock for having put the geese in danger. Nils has problems in the countryside where everything seems enormous, that is until he meets a squirrel...

Episode 36

Lost

The geese, after a long flight, come up against a thunderstorm. Their leader, Akka, exhausted by her age and the events, nearly leads them into a cliff face. She manages to pull out in time but, her confidence destroyed, now announces that she is going to retire as the geese have enough experience to migrate without her.

Treasure Hunt

While the flock is taking a break on a Scandinavian island, Nils discovers a map in a bottle which shows the hiding place of Ulrik the Green's treasure. As Martin is busy fishing, Nils persuades Gorgo to go with him. they discover the treasure at the bottom of a well. A final trap starts to close on Gorgo and Nils begs him to drop the treasure - his friend's life is much more important.

Episode 38

The Exam

Akka decides to make Nils, Martin and Gorgo take an exam on general (goose) knowledge. If they pass, they will be full members of the flock. To show them how it is done, Akka again takes the exam that she so brilliantly passed in her youth. She teams up with Martin while Nils is saddled with Gorgo as a team-mate. While Akka stresses out Martin, Nils motivates Gorgo and they start to take the lead...

Episode 39

The Promise

Nils has promised to take a beaver to an island where he can live safely. However, the beaver is a 'know-it-all' and quickly infuriates the rest of the flock. The geese go on migration strike until the beaver leaves but Nils is determined to keep his promise...

Ask the Pebble

While they are searching for food for the flock, Nils and Gorgo discover a hidden store of food and wonder whether they should take it or not. In order to decide, Nils flips a pebble and chance decides that they can take the food. Will this end well for the gang...

Episode 41

The Werebat

Gorgo and Akka - isolated far from the flock - witness an aurora borealis which scares Gorgo. Akka tells him that during this phenomenon, transformations can happen. Then, unseen by Gorgo, the old goose falls headfirst into a crevasse. Gorgo finds himself alone with a bat who was passing by and is sure that it is Akka, now transformed into a 'Werebat'.

A Strange Night Owl

The flock is trying to have a well-deserved rest when they are kept awake by a partying bat called Reggie. He is a strange night-owl who spends his time partying here and there, boasting about his previous parties, relaxing when everyone else is working and eating at every table. Nils is fascinated by Reggie's cheek and personality and insists that he travel with the group.

Paradise for Nearly All

The geese enjoy a short stay on a lovely island, which gets the females in a romantic mood, swooning over attractive ganders. Martin feels he is no match, but Nils encourages his mate to go for his potential mate. Martin being shy, Nils uses a type of communicating conches indicated by an elf -who objects to human intervention on principle- to play Cyrano. It still goes wrong, but a serpent cornering her enables Martin to become her savior.

Hanted Forest

The wild geese are flying quickly, fleeing a thunderstorm, when Nils spots a small forest, an ideal place to rest. Akka refuses, saying the Big Bogeybeast, an evil spirit, lives in that forest and makes every bird disappear on the night of the full moon - and it is full moon tonight...

Fear of Heights

As the flock flies over the territory of Hawkeye, an eagle feared throughout the region, Nils is having a great time doing aerobatics with Martin. But the last stunt does not go well and Nils has a terrible fall which is only broken by some trees as he drops through them. Will Nils be okay?

Episode 46

Party Animals

Nils is proud to get a rare golden invitation to attend the elves annual celebration, passed off as a distant elf cousin, alas inadvertently giving repeated offense. Two jealous geese invited themselves, and the Black Elf followed them to learn the secret venue, so he can attack. Nils helps fight him off and is rewarded with a rules change to allow people and animals to attend.

Home Sweet Home

The geese land on a island, delighted to find a grand home built from branches, so tired all but Aka want to stay there indefinitely instead of migrating south. But it belongs to a troop of beavers, who refuse to give it up, so both parties keep stealing 'timber' from each-other. When a storm passes, an unprotected beaver is dragged into the air, the troop flies to his rescue.

The Cosy Nest

As the geese land to relaxing on a charming island that Akka loves, she's appalled to find it's spoiled by dumped rubbish, so puts everyone on cleaning chores.Nils wanders off and his boomerang propeller ricochets and hits the branch of a tree. The oak has a protector, elf Morlo, who blames Nils, as representative of humanity, for all the pollution, and orders him to clean the countless leaves. That proves impossible, but Nils finds out whole branches are dying because of spilled petroleum. He gets the flock to help him fix the leaking barrels, so the trees can recover.

Much Cackling About Nothing

Nils and Martin are gathering berries, but loose them and the boy even falls as two cackling geese fly by without minding safety in pursuit of a hunky he-goose. To Nils's horror, it's mating season, when various species neglect normal interests to seek a partner, for life in a goose's case. A deep fall causes Nils to face fox Smirre on earth, an easy prey unless he can outsmart the predator who even corners the geese who come to Nils's rescue..

Episode 50

A Matter of Taste

Nils is sick of goose food and convinces Akka he helped gather it often enough, it's time the flock helps him get some real human food. That requires stealing it from a farm, which proves quite dangerous, for him and Gorgo dealing with the farmer and for Martin intruding the living-room where a dog is awaken.

The Boy Who Cried Crow

The Black Elf's raven servant Krovac approaches the flock, offering to take them to a clover paradise. Akka trusts the flatterer over Nil's warning it must be a trap. After he chases fox Smirre and bonds 'brotherly' with the eagle, who chases other ravens sent to punish the traitor, even Nils believes him. Then he drops a hidden net, trapping the whole flock, having even confiscated Nils's boomerang. The only hope is convincing Krovoc 'family' is better than a master, so he'll let them go and fake being surprised by a bear.

Episode 52

Both Feet on the Ground

*The flock is ecstatic finally to have reached Lapland, where they can stay eight months before migrating back. Nils is shocked, as mating, building nests and so on will leave him the odd one out. Feeling abandoned instantly, he appeals to the elves, who are sad to hear he wants to be returned to his own size, even if that means leaving the geese forever. Just when Avidor is ready to transform him, Martin comes pick him up to fight off the black elf and his raven, who have captured the whole flock, using new powers. The battle is a success, and convinces Nils his place is still with the flock as resident hero.
