Nana Komatsu, 20 years old, finally receive the text message she has been expecting for so long: Her boyfriend Shôji Endô was accepted in a Tokyo Art University, after a year, and she's moving from her home town to the capital city, in order to be with Shôji and, somewhat, make a life of her own. During her trip on train to Tokyo, she met mysterious and attractive punk rock girl, who happens to have the same name, Nana. While facing her new life in Tokyo and realizing that she's not there to do Shôji's housework, but to find a job and a place for herself, she goes with nice real estate agent Andô-san, and through him she finds the apartment of her dreams. But there's a little problem: someone was looking for the apartment before her: the Nana she meet in the train! Thanks to wise advice from Andô-san, both, Nana Komatsu and Nana Ôsaki, agree to share the apartment (and the rent).
