Baldwin Motion Collection

Mon, Feb 16, 202620 mins

Dennis travels to just outside Indianapolis, Indiana and visits with Dan McMichael who shares his collection of Baldwin Motion supercars. In the mid 1960s, performance tuners teamed up with original manufacturers or auto dealers to produce supercars that came with factory warranties, such as the well-known Shelby Mustangs and Yanko Camaros. Less familiar was the match-up on Long Island, New York between Baldwin Chevrolet and Joel Rosen's Motion Performance that produced some of the most radical and powerful of these showroom racers. Dan's stable of Baldwin Motion cars includes three Vettes, but it's the second generation Camaro that really interests Dennis, especially when they take it out on the road. Dan also teases up the next addition to his collection, a Motion Maco Shark he's about to restore. Back in the shop, Dennis is joined by Walter Vaughan from Steele Rubber Products who tells him about the entire process of researching, making, and producing replacement rubber products for classic cars.
