On the afternoon of 5 September 2012, an attack took place just off of a quiet mountain road in southeastern France, near Lake Annecy. This attack resulted in the deaths of 3 British tourists - 50-year old Saad al-Hilli, his wife Iqbal, age 47 at the time, and her mother Suhaila al-Allaf, age 74, as well as French cyclist Sylvain Mollier, age 45. Saad and Iqbal's two young daughters thankfully survived the attack.
