Taro's cousin Kazu, a sumo wrestler, arrives for a visit. He falls in love with Tina leaving Taro with the dilemma of having him feel rejected.

Taro, with his conservative ways, is wary of the free spirited Tina. Afraid of the influence she is beginning to have on his children he fires the nanny but soon regrets it.

Taro welcomes a guest to his home who is soon disruptive to the household. When the man show no signs of leaving which frustrates Taro who according to Japanese tradition is unable to throw him out.
