Episode 1
The Pee Pee Guy

We meet our anti-hero Ray, as well as his daughter, Brittany; ex-wife, Jacinta; unwell brother, Bruce; best friend, Gary; and boss, Freddy. Freddy owes Ray money which he doesn't have, as usual so he sends Ray off with newly hired heavy, Nick, to collect and keep a 10k debt. Nick hasn't collected before and proves ineffective, so Ray has to step in and do it his way to get results. Ray meets Ally at the dog park and there is immediate chemistry - but he doesn't act on it, feeling that she's out of his league. Gary is in trouble with his Russian wife, Tatiana, over the discovery of a porn DVD and asks Ray to take the blame. While out with Brittany having ice-cream they bump into some young men who knock her ice-cream to the ground and disrespect Ray. Ray assaults one of the young men responsible and while escaping the scene he runs into Ally and takes the opportunity to make his feelings a little clearer. Ally gives Ray her number.
Episode 2
Unicorns Know Everybody's Name

Ray kidnaps a man named Luke Henson and "takes care" of him out in a forest. Brittany questions her dad about Santa Claus and unicorns. The police have identified Ray as the young man's assailant; he informs Bruce that he has to go to court. Ray has his first date with Ally. It goes well. Freddy informs Ray that he was mistaken about Luke Henson. Ray is not happy about having killed the guy. Showing some moral compass and compassion Ray decides to pay Luke's widow an anonymous visit and give her some cash. Gary is in an induced coma after being bashed in a gun deal gone wrong set up by his brother-in-law, Vasilli. Vasilli's story doesn't add up and when confronted with a surprise visit by Ray, some of the truth comes out. Once Ray discovers who Gary's assailants were, he lets them know that they shouldn't mess with the people he cares about.
Episode 3
Captain Obvious

Gary wakes from his coma, and thanks Ray for doing "a bit of this and a bit of that" to Vassili and the guys who bashed him. Ray and Nick are becoming friends and he asks Nick for a favour. Jacinta berates Ray for telling Brittany that Jesus isn't real. The court has ordered Ray to attend anger management after kicking the man who pushed his daughter. His first meeting doesn't go very well. Freddy informs Ray that the guys he bashed for putting Gary in a coma belong to a crew run by his son-in-law's brother, Davros. Freddy insists Ray sits down with Davros to smooth the waters. Nick makes good on the favour. While on drugs, Vasilli breaks into Gary's house to rob the contents of his safe. Gary, who has just returned home from hospital, manages to send an SOS text to Ray who is out shopping with Ally. Ray comes to Gary's rescue and promptly deals with Vasilli - but they'll have to work out what to do with the body as Tatiana has arrived home unexpectedly.

On Behalf of Society

Gary takes Ray for a drive to give him a surprise as a thank you for saving him. Ray and Ally's relationship has developed. Freddy takes Ray to meet Davros. Ray doesn't like Davros and although Davros seems placated by the end of the conference, Freddy knows better. A road-rage incident forces Ally to confront Ray about his quick access to violence, rather than attempting to diffuse a situation. When court-ordered anger management therapist Peter confronts Ray about the same impulse, Ray explains that it's justifiable to let people clearly know that there are ramifications for being an asshole. For Ray, it's all about respect. Ray brings Ally home to meet Brittany. Ray can't sleep and gets up to notice a van parked outside surveilling his house. He goes for a drive and leads the van out to a safe place to do some permanent damage to it's occupants - Davros' guys - using the surprise gift Gary gave him.
Episode 5
Hard Worker

Ray and Gary are planning to relieve a guy of his drugs and cash, and bring Nick in on the job, but a sudden turn of events scuppers their plans. After informing Freddy about his and Gary's plans going astray, Ray is picked up by Davros' slow-witted bodyguard, Bobby, and the wily hitman, Dave, who abduct Ray in his own car. Ray tells his captors about a hidden strongbox containing a great deal more cash than they're being paid to do the job. Dave devises a plan: tell Davros they ran out of gas, tell Ray that they'll let him go once the strongbox is retrieved, retrieve it, deliver Ray to Davros, and get paid twice. What could possibly go wrong? Dave and Bobby uncover the strongbox, but when they momentarily leave Ray's car unattended with Ray safely locked in the trunk, the car disappears. Dave and Bobby hot wire another car and go looking for Ray, the car, and the strongbox.
Episode 6
Your Mum's Got a Strongbox

We meet potheads Scon and Lefty and discover they are the reason for the disappearance of Ray and his car. Scon and Lefty drop off Ray's car to auto mechanic Bernie to be chopped for parts. Bernie is surprised to find Ray in the boot and has to dump Ray's car in a nearby forest with him still tied-up inside. Ray kicks his way out of the trunk, and shortly afterwards encounters Scon and Lefty with his phone and his strongbox. Trailing them back to Bernie's auto shop, Ray confronts the trio just as they're about to torch open his strongbox, which Ray reclaims intact. Dave and Bobby intercept Ray, and finally deliver him to Davros. As Ray prepares to be dispatched to his final resting place, Davros decides he wants in on the contents of the strongbox. Only when it's finally opened do Davros, Dave, and Bobby discover that it doesn't exactly contain what they were expecting, and are reminded that greed isn't necessarily good.
