The elderly woman is behaving increasingly strangely and is noticeably overzealous in asking about clues and a suicide note found in Overbeck's uncle's old hunting lodge. And her son Klaus, a psychologist with whom the couple was undergoing treatment for marital problems, is also behaving suspiciously. While the search for Jana and Matthis is in full swing, investigators discover that Mrs. Grothius also suffered from her husband's domestic violence-until his death.
