Terror in Hengasch

48 mins

To Sophie's surprise, the new nurse Danuta is extremely elegant and speaks fluent German. It's no wonder that Hannes gets on so well with her right away. Everything seems peaceful until cute ceramic figures suddenly explode in several front gardens. The ceramic cat in front of the Schäffers' house and the wild boar figures in old Zielonka's front garden also suffer. They quickly become certain: terror in Hengasch. Sophie and her colleagues initially assume that it is just a prank by the village youths. But then plastic surgeon Dr. Zörner suffers serious hand injuries in an attack. Her investigations lead Sophie to Jaqueline Schildknecht, who owns a shop for decorative garden ceramics. Shortly afterwards, it turns out that Dr. Zörner, who is popular with patients and colleagues alike, was having an affair with Jaqueline. While Sophie is doing research in the hospital, she meets the attractive and charming Dr. Gerlach, who immediately starts courting her. After Dr. When Dr. Zörner dies unexpectedly from an overdose of painkillers, Sophie observes the smart Dr. Gerlach arguing violently with Jaqueline in the decoration shop. Sophie suspects a plot between the two, which also threatens to be dangerous for Dietmar Schäffer.

Episode 3

Und ewig singt das Blaukehlchen

48 mins

Sophie is amazed when the quirky ornithologist Professor Franzen shows up at the station and asks Dietmar and Bärbel to imitate bird calls - apparently a ritual with a tradition, because Professor Franzen comes by once a year to watch the extraordinarily rare bluethroat nesting in his Hengasch refuge with a group of students. Unfortunately, the ornithologists' fun is short-lived, because one of the students is found beaten to death in the forest. At first, Professor Franzen becomes Sophie's target, because very compromising photos show him in a bird costume together with the dead woman. While Sophie's father Hannes is enjoying increasingly better health, which he hides from his daughter so that the topic of Cologne does not come back onto the agenda, Sophie has her hands full fending off the annoying advances of an ornithology student, and Dietmar receives an unexpected visit from his childhood sweetheart Katja. The fact that Katja is also his cousin seems to only surprise Sophie. Irritated by the fact that the unexpected reunion has not left him cold, Dietmar doesn't know how to deal with this feeling. When Heike also forbids him from meeting Katja again, he is completely torn. But Dietmar does meet Katja in secret and of course nothing happens between the two of them. Unfortunately, Heike has got wind of Dietmar's secrecy and is furious.

Henghasch

48 mins

Gardener Schönfelder can no longer keep up with the geranium prices of the large hardware store chains. But before he surrenders to his fate without a fight, he wants to use his green thumb one last time and grows hashish - the craziest hashish far and wide, because as an expert he has the necessary know-how. But since he never expected such a large harvest in his life, the stuff literally grows over his head, so that the completely overwhelmed gardener doesn't know what to do now. And when, right in front of Dietmar's eyes, his colleague Hettwer forces farmer Wallisfurth off the road during the very first drug courier trip and drives himself into hospital, Sophie starts the investigation. She quickly gets on Schönfelder's trail - not without discovering that Hannes, who is now quite lively again, is apparently also dealing hashish: to Bärbel's aunt "Ente" - to treat her arthritis. Heike is still furious about Dietmar's secret meeting with his ex-girlfriend, which plunges the Schäffers' marriage into a real crisis. All of this distracts Sophie from another theater of war: Hannes and Danuta share a first, and of course secret, kiss.

Episode 5

Scharfe Bräute, ganze Kerle

48 mins

In Hengasch, nerves are frayed. When the weather is nice, dozens of motorbikes thunder through the middle of the village every weekend, because anyone who wants to take a joyride into the Eifel on their bike has to go through Hengasch. Half of Hengasch's residents welcome visitors from the city, the other half does not. Because, as is always the case, the innkeepers benefit from this, while the farmers complain about the noise and trampled fields. When lawyer Groll has a fatal accident on his bike right in front of the forester's lodge one Sunday morning, it quickly becomes clear that the accident must have something to do with the tense situation in the village. Sophie enters the macho world of weekend choppers, kicks up a lot of dirt there and also runs into her ex, Andreas Zielonka, and his new girlfriend. Hannes and Danuta have become a secret couple, but Hannes wants to wait until he tells Sophie what's going on. The Schäffers' marital peace seems to have been restored, but Heike is still worried about Dietmar, who is strangely taciturn and irritable. But Heike wouldn't be Heike if she didn't find out the reason for Dietmar's condition: During his regular health check, Dietmar was certified as being 83 years old. That could quickly mean early retirement.

Saftladen

48 mins

Bärbel returns from a training course on profiling and believes that she can now see behind people's foreheads - which is of course absolute nonsense, but Sophie lets her do it at first. When Bärbel becomes increasingly independent in the course of the current case, Sophie has to call her to order. For a short time, a kind of bargain basement has rented space in Farmer Rieder's barn, where you can buy everything that is in stock in large quantities and at incredibly low prices: non-perishable food, cosmetics, detergent, clothing, etc. Much to the dismay of Mrs Runkelbach, whose shop has since made almost no sales. And someone else doesn't seem to be very happy about the temporary tenants, because one morning the boss of the bargain basement is found dead in a manure basin. At the same time, the cheap orange juice that was for sale there was apparently poisoned and half of Hengasch is therefore hanging over the bowl. And because the Hengasch residents turn to Dr. When she turns to Dr. Kauth, even though he is actually a veterinarian, Sophie runs into an ex again. At home, Sophie doesn't have much to laugh about either: At first she suspects Danuta of stealing her expensive skin cream, until she realizes that Hannes is hiding something from her. But she doesn't yet know what exactly.

Die Saat des Bösen

48 mins

Little Timmi is gone and all of Hengasch is helping to search for the baby. His mother Nicole and his father, farmer Ludwig Jaschke, are devastated and cannot explain who could have kidnapped the little one. Ludwig does have various enemies, such as beekeeper Petri, whose bee colonies died because of Jaschke's genetically modified corn. But the deeper Sophie, Dietmar and Bärbel delve into the case, the clearer it becomes that the Jaschkes are keeping a family secret, because Nicole and her brother-in-law have apparently become very close in the past - which also raises the question of who Timmi's biological father is and who might therefore have a reason for a kidnapping. In her private life, Sophie is annoyed by her sulking and lovesick father. She then encourages Hannes to contact Danuta - not entirely without self-interest, because since Danuta left, the place looks as if a bomb had gone off.

Tod am 18. Loch

48 mins

It's "slaughter week" at the Aubach Inn and because Sophie has forgotten to go shopping, she pays the restaurant a visit. There she meets golf instructor Gerard. And because she's already had a long dry spell when it comes to men, she takes Gerard home with her as dessert, so to speak - Hannes is still in Poland with Danuta. The next day, Sophie is shocked when she finds out that Gerard is lying dead on the 18th hole of the golf club near Liebernich. It quickly turns out that Gerard was polygamous, to put it mildly. Not only does Sophie feel ashamed, but it also brings to light various suspects. After Sophie has pulled herself together again and tackles the whole thing with her usual professionalism, it turns out that Gerard was also controversial among his fellow trainers. Dietmar doesn't have it easy either: Heike has set her mind on becoming the new chairwoman of the Hengascher country women - and of course that won't happen without the support of her bear.

Das nennt man Camping

48 mins

When Sophie hears of the sudden death of the pensioner Vostell, she immediately suspects a crime, because the circumstances of his death make no sense to her. However, since the Vostell case is not her responsibility, but that of her colleagues from Bad Münstereifel, who absolutely do not want to know anything about a crime, Sophie has to start the investigation on her own - undercover: at a campsite, together with Dietmar Schäffer - disguised as a married couple... The latter in particular does not exactly meet with Heike's approval. Together with Dietmar, Sophie soon tracks down Vostell's nephew, who used the old man's camper van as a drug stash. At the same time, a stolen rabbit brings Bärbel into contact with her old childhood friend Michi, who is currently spending his semester break in Hengasch. Michi realizes that Bärbel has definitely "developed" and from then on she courts her - with success.

Episode 11

Ein krummer Hund

48 mins

There was a break-in at Arthur Brandt's house, an influential Hengasch resident who, among other things, sponsors the volunteer fire department and who the whole of Hengasch bows down to. He was supposedly surprised and knocked down by the burglar. Sophie doesn't believe him, but suspects insurance fraud and has no problem taking on the influential man. Strangely enough, Bärbel's new flame Michi seems to have an almost exaggerated interest in the case, which does not make him unsuspicious for Sophie - against which Bärbel naturally protests loudly. When the tables suddenly turn and all the evidence points against none other than Dietmar, it is good that Sophie always keeps an overview. At least professionally, because privately she is flirting with Dr. Kauth again. In the end, Bärbel, deeply disappointed with her newly acquired "skills" as a profiler and psychologist, has to take Michi away.

Der Antrag

48 mins

Sophie is invited to dinner at Jochen Kauth's and is surprised at the excessive effort he has made for what seems to be an ordinary dinner in the middle of the week. For Kauth, however, it is no ordinary dinner: he solemnly asks for Sophie's hand in marriage. Sophie responds with a determined "yes and no", which makes Kauth slightly annoyed. As if that wasn't enough, there is actually only one person who would have a motive for the murder of animal healer Junk: And that person is called Jochen Kauth. Of course, it wasn't Kauth, but Sophie has to follow all the evidence and that has a huge impact on the mood between the two lovebirds - especially since Sophie still doesn't really want to comment on the marriage proposal. But the course of the investigation leads to Sophie surprisingly saying "yes" in the end.

Episode 13

Der Schandbaum

48 mins

Sophie is busy with her wedding preparations, although the Hengasch bourgeois rituals are really getting on her nerves. Grateful for any distraction, she runs after the fleeing jewel thief "Marilyn" in the middle of the wedding dress fitting. Sophie is also suspicious of the archaic May festival rituals, in which May queens are auctioned off to the "highest bidder". And lo and behold: the head of the May committee, Josten, is found dead. Shortly before he was about to hang himself, he seems to have succumbed to a heart attack. But Sophie doesn't really believe that it was a natural cause. After all, last year the unsympathetic man bought May queen Tine, girlfriend of May committee member Sascha, at auction. Tine stubbornly keeps quiet about what exactly happened then. When Sophie discovers the remains of black masking tape from a so-called "tree of shame" - which is considered a warning signal - in Josten's garbage and at the crime scene during her research, she is certain: there is more to the supposed suicide. Without further ado, she turns her attention to Tine again. When this case is also solved, everything finally seems to have a happy ending. Sophie and Kauth are ready to enter into eternal marriage when the registrar turns out to be the fugitive "Marilyn", who immediately flees - followed by Sophie and Dietmar and Bärbel and Jochen.
