Rollerskating with Michael, Kate meet Selena, a school friend from Brentwood Prep who need Kate's help to find a date. Selena's attitude towards waitresses makes her first date a failure but instead Kate arranges for Selena and Michael to have a first date. At the law practice Kate is involved with a married couple where the women claims that the husband has voided the prenuptial agreement by sleeping with their nanny. In her private life, Kate is dating a chiropractor whose hands can make magic.

In her matchmaking business, her client Michael has successful dates with Amy the art history lecturer.
