Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Season 5 Episodes

Episode 1

Evolution

Gabriel, now "Monarch", uses the Rabbit Miraculous to defeat Ladybug and Cat Noir in the past. Bunnyx brings the heroes to her Burrow, but she is paralyzed by Monarch. Cat Noir takes her Miraculous and fuses with it to become "Rabbit Noir", then follows Monarch through time. The latter collapses due to using too many Miraculouses, so Ladybug takes the Rabbit Miraculous, but he retrieves it. The heroes go to the past Master Fu to get the Dog Miraculous for the present Alix, who transforms into "Canigirl". Under orders from Nathalie, Monarch tries to prevent Emilie from using the damaged Peacock Miraculous but instead falls for a trap set by Ladybug. Alix retrieves the Rabbit Miraculous and is allowed to keep it; she travels through time to keep it safe. As a result, Nathalie chooses to no longer help Gabriel.

Ladybug and Cat Noir are scolded by Su-Han for not protecting the Miracle Box, but he apologizes for his harshness and goes to get reinforcements. Realizing Félix is behind everything, the heroes try to confront him in London, but they do not find him. In order not to distract themselves from fighting Monarch, Marinette tries to stop loving Adrien, while Adrien gives up his modeling and also starts developing feelings for Marinette. Weeks pass before Monarch makes another akumatization; he re-akumatizes Tomoe into Ikari Gozen with the Mouse Miraculous' power of Jubilation, with the Miraculous itself mysteriously out of sight. After her defeat, Tomoe and Gabriel launch their new brand of smart rings called "Alliance," displaying digital copies of Adrien and Lila. Meanwhile, Félix - who was secretly hiding in London the whole time - activates the Peacock Miraculous and meets Duusu, its kwami, for the first time.

Mr. Damocles continues to try (and fail) to be The Owl, but Marinette's former classmate, Socqueline, comes to his rescue, dressed as Ladybug. Before Marinette can tell Socqueline how dangerous it is to impersonate Ladybug, she leaves for a mission wearing Socqueline's borrowed Alliance ring; Monarch tracks its movement and assumes Socqueline is Ladybug. He akumatizes Mr. Damocles into an upgraded version of Dark Owl called "Darker Owl" with the Pig Miraculous' power of Jubilation. After discovering that Socqueline isn't Ladybug, he hypnotizes both Ladybug and Cat Noir with a vision of them defeating Monarch, marrying, and starting a family, but they break out of it and defeat him, much to their sadness. Later, Sabine gifts Marinette an Alliance ring, but she refuses.

Illusion

Ladybug can't give Nino a Miraculous but wants to keep helping so he creates an Aid Network at school. They must figure out Monarch's new power. But Marinette, Alya and Adrian aren't convinced. Would the superheroes agree to such a plan?

Determination

Luka and Kagami notice that Adrien and Marinette are still uncertain about their feelings, so they arrange a date at the Musée Grévin. Adrien and Marinette both act awkwardly toward each other, so Kagami and Luka decide to lock them in a room to sort things out. Meanwhile, the museum's director Véronique attempts to unveil the statues of the temporary heroes, but Mayor Bourgeois objects to it, threatening to close the museum. Véronique is akumatized into "Manipula" who can bring the statues to life and is immune to Miraculous powers, thanks to the Ox Miraculous' power of Determination. During the fight, Ladybug starts falling in love with Cat Noir. However, after Manipula's defeat, Cat Noir does not notice her feelings and reaffirms his feelings for Marinette.

Passion

As Marinette tries to convince herself that she loves Chat Noir to try and forget about Adrien, Adrien, who has given up on being in love with Ladybug, tries to find a way to declare his feelings to Marinette. As everything turns upside down in their lives, Ladybug and Chat Noir exchange their Miraculous to escape a ruthless villain.

Episode 8

Reunion

Marinette learns that the kwagatama can be used to summon the memories of previous Miraculous holders. She decides to contact Joan of Arc, who in her era was the superhero "Scarlet Fate", in order to ask about her romance with "Dark Grimalkin"-- the then-Cat Miraculous holder from England--which upset their respective rulers. Meanwhile, Jalil is upset over the absence of his sister, believing social media's claims that Ladybug is evil for hiding her. He asks Monarch to akumatize him back into the Pharaoh to find out the truth himself, this time with the Turtle Miraculous' power of Protection and the ability to create walls with Maat's Book of Truth which can only be opened by answering trivia questions, trapping those who answer incorrectly. Ladybug convinces the Pharaoh to confirm her true intentions with the book, which leads the latter to willingly de-akumatize himself upon realizing that Monarch lied to him. Later, Gabriel apologizes to Nathalie, while Plagg gives Adrien his own kwagatama.

Exaltation

But Bob Roth underestimates Luka, who's ready for anything to defend his values and his friends.

Marinette and Adrien prepare to have a normal date at the pool, but this proves to be very traumatizing for Marinette because she once had a crush on Kim last year and Chloe pulled a series of nasty pranks on her. Socqueline is able stop Chloe from posting a humiliating video of Marinette by destroying Sabrina's phone, but she ends up getting suspended. Socqueline gives Marinette some words of encouragement to help her stand up to Chloe. Marinette is able to calm herself and she rejects the megakuma. When Adrien and Ondine learn about Kim's prank, the two become angry at Kim for hurting Marinette. Kim soon gets akumatized by Monarch into Dark Humor and he is granted the power of derision through his alliance ring, he forces everyone to do a series of unpleasant jokes. Ladybug is able to defeat Dark Humor by pretending to be brainwashed by him and Kim is given a magical charm, the heroine tells him that his practical jokes will lead to consequences. At the pool, Ondine harshly scolds Kim for hurting Marinette and he looks at the charm Ladybug has given him, Kim apologizes to Marinette for what he did and she forgives him. Marinette is still uncertain over her feelings for Adrien, but he assures her that they will have time to figure things out. Adrien angrily confronts Chloe for playing a nasty prank on Marinette and for allowing Kim to hurt her, he advises Chloe to apologize to Marinette, but she refuses. Adrien comes to realize that he has given Chloe one too many chances to change and he ends his friendship with her for good. After Adrien leaves, Chloe calls her former friend a traitor.

Intuition

He is ready to do anything, even if it means that this could be his last chance to seize the Miraculous.

Protection

As the gang comes up with yet another overcomplicated plan to bring Marinette and Adrien together, Lila uses her talent for manipulation to persuade Kagami that Marinette is a liar who abuses everyone else's kindness. Shocked, Kagami is akumatized into Riposte Prime. She lays into Marinette at the very moment when Adrien had managed to finally make her feel comfortable around him. Will Lila's poisonous lie ruin the friendship between Kagami, Marinette and Adrien?

Adrien must attend the Diamonds' Dance organized by his father and Mrs. Tsurugi. He will be the King of the Ball alongside Kagami, who has been chosen to be this year's Queen. Neither Adrien nor Kagami want to go, but they are only teenagers who cannot disobey their parents' orders. When she finds out that Adrien did not dare to tell her about the dance, Marinette decides to go too. But how will she enter such a private event where she does not seem to be welcome at all?

As for Marinette, she doesn't know that Adrien does not dare to tell her a dreadful secret that could jeopardize their relationship forever.

The unsuspecting Marinette and Adrien have already fallen victim to this plan. Are Ladybug and Cat Noir doomed? Will Monarch win in the end?

Episode 26

Re-création (le dernier jour - 2ème partie)

Bug Noir battles Monarch by herself and she becomes determined to get all of the stolen miraculouses back from him. Meanwhile; the Resistance, the United Heroez, the Order of the Guardians, and Lady Dragon work together to free the Miraculized army from their brainwashing. During a lengthy battle, Bug Noir removes Gabriel's butterfly miraculous and the half of the reforged miraculouses from his hand. Bug Noir begins to sympathize with Gabriel and she shows him Emilie's video diary, causing Gabriel to realize the error of his ways. Marinette advises Gabriel that they can still be there for Adrien, she tries to help him but she gets paralyzed by the latter. Gabriel takes the ladybug and cat miraculous, he makes a wish to heal Nathalie and he reunites with Emilie in the afterlife. One month later, the Parisians honor Gabriel as a hero for helping Ladybug stop Monarch. Marinette encourages Adrien to be himself and the two share a passionate kiss. Marinette is able to fix all of the reforged miraculouses back to their original forms, she permanently entrusts all of the miraculouses to her allies. Ladybug and Cat Noir continue their adventures with their allies and they vow to find the missing butterfly miraculous. Unfortunately, Cerise has gotten her hands on the butterfly miraculous and she enrolls in the same high school Marinette and her friends are going to. Cerise becomes horrified when a sudden burst of energy surrounds her, ending the episode in a cliffhanger.

Episode 27

Action

Marinette, Adrien and their friends want to actively fight plastic pollution in Paris. But at only their own scale, the task seems just too enormous. It occurs to Marinette that they should try to fix the problem at the root, by trying to convince the largest plastic manufacturer in person to change his habits. But the heroes will meet an opponent in plain clothes, and more fearsome than even some supervillains. And what if, on top of that, Monarch decided to akumatize the baron of plastic?
