Since becoming the new guardian of the Miracle Box, Marinette has been overwhelmed. She doesn't see her friends anymore, abandons Cat Noir, and misses all her dates with Luka. Luka senses that Marinette has a secret, but she can't tell him that when she leaves, it is to become Ladybug and save Paris. Deeply hurt that Marinette doesn't trust him enough to confide her secret, Luka is akumatized into Truth. Helped by his sentimonster, Pharo, a giant eye capable of immobilizing people so that way Truth can hit people with his beam to tell the truth, he not only wants to know Marinette's secret but also Ladybug and Cat Noir's secret for Shadow Moth.

Marinette inadvertently severs all ties with her friends but they get akumatized by Shadow Moth as Gang of Secrets, who want to save Marinette. Ladybug and Cat Noir realize they cannot handle five villains at the same time. Ladybug traps an akumatized Alya and she convinces her to fight Shadow Moth's influence. Alya successfully breaks free from her akumatization. Ladybug calls upon Rena Rouge to help her and Cat Noir to stop the four members of the Gang of Secrets. After the villains defeat, Marinette reveals her secret identity to Alya and she comforts her best friend.

Since Marinette has told Alya that she is Ladybug, she has been trying to figure out how to decipher the grimoire. Alya assures Marinette that she is here to help her on stopping Shadow Moth from causing anymore harm. Alya reveals to Marinette that Kagami has broke up with Adrien, this surprises Marinette and she goes off to comfort Kagami. During a fencing match, Marinette meets up with Kagami and her mother, she tries to get Kagami to patch things up with Adrien at the pool, but she assures Marinette that she has gotten over Adrien. The commercial shoot that Adrien is starring in goes wrong and Mr. Ramier is akumatized into Mr. Pigeon again, but he has the ability to use his pigeons to turn people into pigeons. Rena Rouge and Plagg help Ladybug defeat Mr. Pigeon. Rena Rouge arrives at the pool and she tells Ladybug that she has a wide set of powers when using the ladybug miraculous. Ladybug then uses her abilities and her costume changes, she is able to create magical charms. Ladybug gives a magical charm to Mr. Ramier so that Shadow Moth won't bother him anymore. Mr. Ramier becomes delighted that he won't get akumatized again. Kagami notices Marinette's love for Adrien and she realizes that Marinette and Adrien are perfect together. Marinette soon goes home and she dances in the rain.

Zoe gets akumatized by Shadow Moth and she tries to get revenge on Chloe for pushing her around. Marinette tries to reason with an akumatized Zoe and she assures her that she'll never be alone. Zoe attempts to resist Shadow Moth's influence, but to no avail. Ladybug and Cat Noir soon realize the akumatized object is in Zoe's sneakers. Andre helps the two heroes save Zoe and Ladybug gives Zoe a magical charm to avoid any future akumatizations. Zoe arrives at the Liberty and she apologizes to everyone for how she acted earlier and she admits she only had one friend in New York, but the rest of her former classmates turned against her. Marinette and her friends welcome Zoe with open arms, while Chloe and Audrey angrily look on. At the Le Grand Paris, Chloe and Audrey want Zoe sent back to New York, but Andre sheepishly states that he is unable to pull any strings for Zoe. Andre puts Zoe into another room away from her half-sister and mother, she encourages her step-father not give up on his dreams.

Marinette and her classmates film an action movie starring Zoe and Mylene. Chloe becomes jealous that her half-sister is starring in the film, she tries to take over the entire film production and she starts changing the script. Chloe decides to go home and get some beauty rest. Marinette and her friends go behind Chloe's back and they film the original script, which Gabriel has funded. At the movie theater, Chloe becomes angry that the original movie is being shown. Chloe furiously storms off, Adrien tells Chloe to apologize for her unpleasant attitude but she refuses to apologize to everyone and she ends her friendship with Adrien. Shadow Moth akumatizes Chloe and she becomes Queen Banana, so that she can get her revenge on everyone. Ladybug decides to entrust Zoe to become the new bee miraculous holder, initially Zoe doesn't want to accept the role but Ladybug assures her that her identity will be safe. Zoe soon accepts Ladybug's offer to hold the bee miraculous. Cat Noir and Vesperia help Ladybug stop Queen Banana. Ladybug tries to give Chloe a magical charm, but she refuses to accept it. Vesperia decides to help Ladybug on getting Chloe to accept the charm. Zoe arrives at the movie theater and she stands up to Chloe. Andre has finally had enough of Chloe's bratty attitude and he refuses to get rid of her half-sister. Zoe tells Chloe that she will still love her even if everyone still hates her. Zoe tricks Chloe to accept her magical charm by saying that it's a gift from her mother.

Chloe is forced to relinquish her phone, but she secretly grabs her SIM card. Gabriel confronts Felix for taking his wedding ring from him and he gives his uncle a fake ring. Shadow Moth creates a sentimonster of himself. "Gabriel" threatens to get rid of Felix for his thievery, making him vulnerable to akumatization, but he is able to resist Shadow Moth's influence and Felix makes his escape. Shadow Moth akumatizes his sentimonster instead. Chloe steals Bob Roth's phone so she can show her video to "Gabriel". However, Chloe and Bob get captured by "The Collector" on his tablet and he soon begins to imprison everyone else on his tablet. Ladybug and Cat Noir manage to get Felix to safety. The two heroes are able to defeat "The Collector", Ladybug unknowingly gives "Gabriel" a magical charm. Chloe tries to show her video to "Gabriel" again, but Bob Roth gets his phone back and he erases the video, leaving Chloe humiliated and dismayed that her plan has failed. However, Felix begins to realize that his uncle is a supervillain. Marinette goes home and her friends come up with a comic book idea based on her adventures as a waiter. In a post-credit scene, Gabriel puts two fake miraculouses in his safe in order to lure his nephew into a trap.

Shadow Moth soon succeeds in getting Audrey akumatized after creating a sentimonster of Alec. Marinette gets stuck in a elevator with Adrien, she gets assistance from Kaalki and Rena Rouge to get the two of them to safety. Rena Rouge unknowingly gives "Nino" a turtle miraculous. Ladybug (Ladybee), Rena Rouge, and "Carapace" defeat Style Queen. Ladybug discreetly gives Audrey a magical charm and puts it in her hat. Ladybug realizes the fight was too easy, she soon realizes that "Nino" is a sentimonster. Ladybug has Cat Noir cataclysm the turtle miraculous, freeing Optigami. Shadow Moth becomes enraged that he got outsmarted by Ladybug, he removes the two sentimonsters from their existence. Back in Marinette's room, Alya realizes she made a mistake on giving a miraculous to a sentimonster. Marinette assures Alya that she will learn from her mistakes. Marinette permanently gives Alya the fox miraculous and she will tell Alya everything if something bad happens to her. Meanwhile, Gabriel realizes Alya's connection with Ladybug and decides to find another way to target Alya.

Ladybug uses the horse miraculous and she manages to obtain the coffee cup containing the amok. Pegabug (Ladybug) convinces Sentibubbler to release everyone and he willingly obeys her command, but Shadow Moth removes Sentibubbler from his existence. Ladybug and Cat Noir both manage to save Nino and the Cesaire family. Shadow Moth has already gotten away from the two heroes. Ladybug praises Rena Rouge for a job well done. Alya reveals to Marinette that Shadow Moth will no longer target her after she created an illusion to make it look like Ladybug won't give her back her miraculous, she will only use the fox miraculous out of Shadow Moth's sight. Marinette has lunch with Alya and her family. In Nathalie's room, Gabriel becomes furious that he won't be able to target Alya and he becomes even more angrier that he got defeated again by the two heroes. Nathalie assures Gabriel that Ladybug might make a mistake and someday his wish will come true.

Ladybug enlists Luka to become Viperion again in order to prevent Wishmaker from learning the identities of Ladybug or Cat Noir. During the fight, Viperion immediately discovers that Ladybug and Cat Noir are Marinette and Adrien, respectively, after they are hit by Wishmaker. Viperion uses his second chance and the heroes are able to defeat Wishmaker. Ladybug gives Alec a magical charm and she asks what his childhood dream was. Alec reveals that all he wanted was to be accepted who he truly is and he starts a brand new show, where he interviews his guests about their greatest dreams. Alec is shown to be wearing a brand new costume and a wig to embrace his true self. Luka returns the snake miraculous to Ladybug, but he keeps the information regarding the heroes identities to himself. In Marinette's room, she talks to the kwamis about her lifelong dream to become a fashion designer and she becomes determined to profess her love for Adrien. In Adrien's room, he looks at a photo of his mother, but he still wants to figure out what his future will hold him and he wants to become his own person.
