The neighbourhood must reach their weekly $100,000 goal by uncovering the hidden money in their taxes, by gathering all of the spare change in their homes, and by foregoing the interest charges on their credit cards and living cash only.
Episode 2
With the assistance of celebrity appraiser Cari Cucksey, the neighbourhood must organize a massive garage sale and sell all of their unnecessary items.
Episode 3
Neighbours are challenged to save money by exchanging skills and services for free. They then have to increase their incomes and find jobs for unemployed community members.
Episode 4
The community must first save money by eating inexpensively at home all week; they then have to earn money by staging a 5-star Wine & Dine with celebrity chef Anthony Sedlak.
Episode 5
The neighbourhood must go car-free all week, sell unnecessary vehicles and raise money for a public transportation initiative via a 10 kilometre Walk/Run.
Episode 6
The community is challenged to enhance neighbourhood-owned businesses and to earn money by staging an elaborate Night Market.
Episode 7
While kids control family spending, look for savings in their parents' budgets and land part-time jobs, the adults start up a free child care and protect their families' futures by refinancing their mortgages.
Episode 8
With the help of celebrity home renovation expert Kristi Hansen, the families have one week to renovate the dilapidated home of one community member, as well as increase the energy savings in their own homes.
Episode 9
The neighbourhood is divided into three teams and challenged to use all of the lessons they've learned to reach their ultimate, million-dollar goal. But the teams flounder when forced to compete and demand to form one united team. But have they learned the lessons of "net worth" well enough to become the Million Dollar Neighbourhood?
Episode 10
The neighbourhood scrambles to earn every last dollar they can - only to discover that some of the money they've counted doesn't actually increase their net worth. Will they prevail and become the Million Dollar Neighbourhood? And if they do, which family is going to be voted to receive the life-changing award of $100,000?
