Million Dollar Chicken Coop

Thu, Oct 29, 2015

Stephen Fanuka treks out to Long Island to build a custom kitchen island. This island is unique: the homeowner wants it to be built out of wood, silver metal, glass and walnut butcher block. While talking about the island, Fanuka remembers that the client used to have chickens, but just like a fairy tale, a fox took them. He takes it upon himself to build her a chicken coop, complete with two hens from his own father. Jonathan, Fanuka's carpenter, is so excited about the chicken coop, he can't focus on the island at all. He goes so far to design the coop to look exactly like the house. Fanuka steers Jonathan back on course when he meets the homeowner's husband, who also happens to be a metal finisher who is going to help Fanuka finish the island. Unfortunately, Jonathan gets fixated on the little details on the island and spends way too much time working on them, putting Fanuka behind, and possibly throwing both projects off course.
