Miffy learns to play the recorder. As music is more fun to play with other people, she asks her friends to join in. Aggie brings her accordion, Poppy Pig brings her double bass and Grunty plays the piano. Together they sound wonderful! It is a rainy day, and Miffy is a little bored. She tries different things to keep her busy; she does the dishes, sweeps the floor, draws pictures, reads a book and listens to music. Meanwhile, outside the rain has turned to snow! Now she can go out again, and discovers how wonderful it is to play with her friends in a snowy white world.

One morning Miffy hears a strange scratching sound at her front door... She meets Snuffy the brown dog, and off they go to play together. When Snuffy warns Miffy about the tap she has left running, Snuffy is the hero of the day and becomes Miffy's newest friend. Miffy visits Boris in his workshop. He starts to make her something from his wooden planks, and Miffy tries to guess what it will be. By the end of the afternoon Miffy rides home in her new wagon in great style!

Miffy sets off to visit her Auntie Alice bringing her some flowers. On her way she trips and the flowers are crushed. Fortunately, her good friend Poppy Pig helps her by giving her fresh carrots from the garden to give to her Aunt to enjoy! Miffy's good friend Aggie comes to stay overnight. To their surprise, they both have the same teddy bears. So when Aggie can't get to sleep, they discover how important it is to make sure you have your own bear with you!

Auntie Alice holds a costume party for all her friends. Poppy Pig, Boris and Barbara Bear, Snuffy and Miffy all disguise themselves as each other. Who is who? They spend the whole afternoon playing, guessing and eating ice cream and cake. When the party is over, Auntie Alice even gives them all a brightly colored balloon! Miffy goes on a great new adventure; she sets off on a camping trip with her forest friends Boris and Barbara Bear. With their heavy backpacks they walk through the beautiful springtime countryside full of butterflies and flowers. They put up their tent, cook a meal and go to sleep. How exciting it is to sleep outside!

Miffy finds out how to read a birthday calendar, and discovers that today is Snuffy's birthday! She wonders what to give her: what do dogs like for presents? She decides to make Snuffy her own drinking bowl with her picture on it. Snuffy loves the gift! Miffy has come down with the flu; she won't eat and just wants to sleep. But then Boris, Barbara and Aggie come to visit and bring some delicious fruit. Miffy eats some and soon feels much better.

Miffy helps her mother with the dishes. She counts how many items there are, sorts everything and puts it in its proper place. Then she realizes that one cup is missing. They search everywhere, until Miffy finds it in a very peculiar place. Miffy calls Snuffy to play with her. She gives her something to eat and drink, but the little dog is too impatient and she makes Miffy drop everything. Miffy then decides to teach Snuffy how to sit and wait for the biscuits and water- and Snuffy learns how difficult it is to be patient!

It is Miffy's birthday, and all her friends arrive at the specially decorated house. Poppy Pig, Grunty, Boris and Barbara Bear all bring mysterious gifts: wooden planks! Together they make a beautiful bookshelf for Miffy to put her books on! / Miffy's Auntie Alice used to be a dancer. She decides to give dancing lessons to Miffy, Winnie, Melanie and Aggie. It is very difficult, but great fun! Every Saturday they practice very hard, and it makes Miffy feel very good about herself. Then, when Miffy visits Boris Bear she discovers that dancing isn't only for girls.

One day, Miffy goes out to gather blueberries with Boris Bear in the forest. After a wonderful picnic she heads home, but loses her way... Fortunately Miffy has great friends who are always ready to help her! Miffy craves some nice, fresh, juicy carrots for breakfast. But there isn't a single one to be found in the house! When Poppy Pig arrives, she takes Miffy to her garden and reveals the secret of growing carrots.

One day Miffy finds a baby bird that has been blown out of its nest by a storm. She takes it to her house. But the little bird should really be with its mother. Together with her own mother Miffy tries to put it back in the tree, but just as she tries the baby bird learns how to fly! Miffy, Snuffy, Grunty, Boris and Barbara Bear play hide and seek in the forest. Barbara is the only one that Miffy can't find. Is she lost? Suddenly Snuffy barks loudly next to a tree, and there is Barbara, sitting on a branch, way up high...

Miffy and her classmates make pictures to decorate the white schoolroom wall. They even go outside to draw what they see: flowers, butterflies... All the beautiful drawings turn the dull room into a fun place to study! Miffy and Melanie find a blue egg. They wonder what could be inside. Poppy Pig helps Miffy to bring the egg back to the red mother bird. Later they hear the cheeping of a baby bird... and a tiny red bird appears in the nest. The colour on the outside doesn't always tell you what's inside!

Miffy loves to play in the snow, to ride her sled and use her skis, but most of all to make snowbunnies! Snuffy helps her roll big snowballs. Boris Bear comes by, and with his planks they build a ramp to put the head on top of the body. Snowy sticks for ears, rubber playing balls for eyes, and of course... a carrot completes the wonderful snowbunny! When Miffy sees Grunty's beautiful kite, she asks Boris Bear to make her one too. She helps him, and when the kite is finished, they try it out. It gets stuck in a tree, so Miffy decides to fly it somewhere else. Over her house there are now two beautiful kites in the air - Grunty's and Miffy's. She is very proud!

Melanie stays overnight with Miffy, and Mother Bunny reads them a bedtime story. When she's said goodnight, they both wish that they could read another one by themselves! The next day at school, the children begin to learn about letters and words. It is so exciting! At the end of the lesson the teacher asks if someone would like to read from a book and she discovers that Miffy can read very well. On a rainy day, Mother Bunny decides that today is a good time to paint Miffy's room. While her mother and father remove all the furniture, Miffy wonders what colour she would like her room to be. She helps her father and learns how to paint. When it's all finished, Miffy is very happy with her new yellow room!

Boris and Barbara want to give Miffy something very special for her birthday. They decide on a birdhouse that is the same as her own house. Boris makes it, and Barbara paints it. On Miffy's birthday, they put it in her garden. Miffy is very happy with the wonderful surprise because it is not only a gift for her, but also for mother birds and their babies! Miffy wonders what she would do if a fairy granted her three wishes. She goes for a walk to think about it and meets Aggie, who has a sore arm. She wishes that Aggie will get better soon. Then it starts to rain. Miffy wishes that the rain would stop and that the sun would always shine. Immediately the sun comes out...Will her last wish also come true?
