In Siberia Strogoff is in great danger. His companion Nadia is being abducted by rebel leader Ogareff and his gypsy friend Sangarre. She is to reveal the hiding place of the courier. Strogoff himself is scarcely alive after a Tatar raid.

Upon arrival in his hometown of Omsk, he meets his mother, whose greeting he does not reciprocate in order to avoid suspicion. While his girlfriend and mother are interrogated in a prison camp, he is able to flee the city.

In Irkutsk, the detainees are waiting to be appalled. Instead, Ogareff arrives in the city and directs the attacks of the Tatars from inside: With the tsar seal, which he has taken from Strogoff, he turns out to be a secret messenger and gains the confidence of the governor. Nadia and the blinded Strogoff, constantly on the run from their pursuers, make a last desperate attempt to reach Irkutsk: in the middle of the enemy lines, they want to float on a raft up Angara to the threatened city.

Episode 7

Folge 7

Following tactical maneuvers by the Tatars, Strogoff regains his sight in a conflagration, prompting him to join the fight. He tracks down Ogareff and kills him, to the chagrin of Sangarre. Michael and Nadia happily dance together on a ball of the Tsar.
