Episode 1
The new replacement teacher has arrived and is the subject of rumours, admiration, intimidation and fascination. She is determined and full of dreams, but matters are not helped that one student in particular is both troubled and troubling her. To add insult to injury she loses her school system password. Whoever has found it is sending messages in her name. The teacher's boyfriend proposes to her at a camping gear store.
Episode 2
A last-minute dinner results in the parents of the couple formally meeting even though the groom-to-be almost did not make it due to a last-minute emergency at work. The boy professes love to his teacher, which is awkward, but made worse by is acting up at home and at school. A class-mate tries to intervene, but is dismissed.
Episode 3
The teacher's fiance pays her a surprise visit and stays the night, which has caused jealousy and disappointment in her student. There are even more photographs posted online and no one knows where they are coming from. At his work, her fiance is hearing uncomfortable quips from his boss who may have just broken up with her lesbian lover. She wants to meet her employee for a meal at their homes.
Episode 4
The examination results are handed out and the summer holidays are here. This is a time for relaxation, summer assignments and also the annual fireworks' festival. As it happens Hijiri will patrol the festival and keeping an eye on things. This gives her beau an opening. The boy's mother arrives at school looking to speak to the teacher however.
Episode 5
The student and teacher were caught red-handed holding hands outside her apartment by his mother and her fiance. Things do not look good. She is lucky to have a forgiving boyfriend, but his mother and the school and its ordinances are another matter. Still, her fiance has been kissed by his boss too.
Episode 6
It is the season of reunions. There is a high school reunion. There is a friends' reunion and there is a work reunion. People are deciding to move on. People are deciding to reunite and others are deciding to revisit old wounds. The school is going on a field trip and a girl is missing a bento for lunch.
Episode 7
A mother is negligent and lies. Moeover, she is blackmailing and threatening the teacher who cares the most about the little girl. The young couple are dating and so is the older couple at work - well, perhaps. A boy's mother is worried about her son's former teacher and is out to set things right.
Episode 8
With Akira spurned by Hijiri and thinking that she is married to her former fiance, it comes as a surprise when his mother inadvertently tells him that the teacher is dating someone new. Akira rejects his hopeful girlfriend. The teacher is having her own problems when her past is dragged out and thrown in her face. She has allies however.
Episode 9
Kuroiwa is missing and everyone is searching for him. A cryptic call sends Hijiri on a search for him. He is on a ferry and there is no returning now. Her mother meets with everyone to try to find him, but her son is searching for his father. A man claims that the boy's father is undercover or hospitalized.
Episode 10
The unconventional lovers make a promise to one another and will not let anything get in their way this time. Hijiri meets with her former student's mother and shows her resolve. She is looking for a new place to live and seems hopefully on track. Instead, her beau calls her to break up. It is all too sudden.
Episode 11
The couple are torn asunder through intimidation by a parent, the cops and a lawyer. Friends come to the couple's rescue, but it may be too late. Still, there is hope if the couple stay true to their feelings and years and geography cannot keep them apart. At the same time the ex-fiance and his lover are experiencing their own reconciliation.
