Episode 1

In the black ghetto, several crack houses are eliminated violently by a gang of masked knavish vigilantes. They must be trained and controlled by an adult with superior military training, as they even successfully set a brilliantly-surprising, thankfully non-lethal trap for Mac. He first suspects the ex-marine youth center-gym leader R.T.Hines, but believes his indignant denial. Only after the vigilantes suffer casualties in a next operation, Mac gets onto the man behind them, police detective Manny, who lost his own kid to drugs and lost faith that the system will deal with lawyered-up drug barons like his main target.

Mac and Pete are in Romania and they're going to check out Ceausescu's files. When some of Ceausescu's followers storm in and plants a device to destroy the files. But Mac saves them but is captured by one of them, who takes Mac hostage. Mac tries to appeal to the man's humanity.

When a policeman sees a drug deal going down, he tries to arrest the ones involved and is killed. Later it seems that the gun used was used before to kill a Presidential Candidate and a mother. Witnesses place a boy whom MacGyver knows at the scene, he is arrested but refuses to say anything. At the same time, when news of the incident reaches a woman whose father had the gun, she learns that her brother an addict used it to buy drugs. At the same time an arms dealer is asked by his client who learns about the gun, to get it cause he wants to possess it. So they bail out the boy to get him to tell them who has the gun. When Mac gets him away from them, he convinces him to tell him what happened and they go to get the gun so they can prove his innocence.

MacGyver's friend Lisa has started drinking to cope with her personal problems. She hangs with some other people who unbeknown est to her are breaking into some wealthy people's homes and robbing them. One of their break ins ends up with someone getting killed. And evidence is found that points to Lisa. While Mac believes she didn't have any part in the killing, he senses she is holding something back and learns of her drinking. He tries to help her. But the people who break in are worried she might point the finger at them so they try to get rid of her.

Mac goes to Germany to find the grand daughter of a man who fled East Germany years ago. He finds her and brings her to the US and reunites her with her grand father. But some men are keeping an eye on them. Later one of them goes after the man. He admits that some corrupt Stasi men have been forcing him to be the receiver of things sent from East Germany. The girl is shocked to hear her grand father did this. Later when the man returns, the girl kills him and that's when she reveals she's also a Stasi and knows what they are after.

Psychopathic serial killer Zito, an evil genius whom Mac helped arrest and convict, is up for parole due to gullible psychologist Marion Skinner. Mac testimony, a sharp analysis, prevents his release, but the court appearance allowed Zito to steal a pen and escape, fatally stabbing two staff members. He also leaves a complex series of arithmetic riddle clues. Each points to a place or victim, part of an elaborate trap to teach MacGyver a master class in evil, but unlike the police, Mac proves at least as smart.

MacGyver's grandfather Harry has passed away. In his will, he says that the thing he has left to MacGyver is in a certain garage. The attorney has a problem: he can't find MacGyver's first name in the will. MacGyver tells him it's because HE DOESN'T HAVE ONE. Although Harry used to call him Bud. Meanwhile, an old man named Cody, who knew Harry, is released from prison - what are the odds, eh? Outside, a biker chick called Big Mama and his man called Dent have been waiting for Cody's release. They don't alert him to their present, but start following Cody. But someone is following them in a black car with darkened windows. MacGyver arrives at the garage and is given a riddle. And an old car. Cody arrives at another garage, hoping to find the car there, but it has been moved to the garage where MacGyver is. Big Mama drops Dent at the "wrong" garage to interrogate the owner in order to find what Cody was looking for and then she follows Cody. The black car follows her. MacGyver has just finished polishing the car when Cody arrives. It turns he has met MacGyver and his grandfather before he went to jail. He wants to know if MacGyver has found anything unusual in the car... MacGyver gets suspicious. Big Mama is outside, waiting for Dent, who tells her that Cody is after a '57 Nomad. Cody tricks MacGyver for leaving him alone with the car for a while and finds a hidden envelope - addressed to HIM. Then Big Mama and Dent drive in. Things are starting to get complicated...

Maria (The Wall (1990)) has been offered a position at the university and she's considering leaving the Phoenix Foundation. That way she could settle down with MacGyver. But commitment is "not an easy thing" for him to talk about. MacGyver takes Maria to his place, only to find Kate Murphy (Lesson in Evil (1990)) there. Then some young woman called Jenny bursts down from upstairs. Turns out she's with Kate. Over some Chinese, the women gang up against MacGyver and The Old West gets mentioned. MacGyver retreats upstairs and starts to watch a western on video, but once again falls asleep. Cue again a dream where MacGyver lives in the Old West town called Serenity (Serenity (1990)), among familiar faces like the Bozer brothers.

Tony Garcia, leader of non-violent protest against the use of allegedly cancerogenous fungicides at the Kasabian vineyards, dies in suspicious circumstances. MacGyver investigates for the Phoenix foundation. he must try to control the hothead protest champion Hector Lopez while investigating the main suspects, moderate owner Kasabian and his son and foreman, whose open hostility gets out of hand after Mac, infiltrated as picker, gathered evidence in the field.

MacGyver interrupts his car voyage after witnessing at night what seems an UFO landing. Meeting young Tommy Wiley, who pouts having to move to a paradisaic planet as his father, a simpleton farmer in debt, sees no other hope for his terminally ill mother, Mac smells a rat. Indeed, the 'phenomenon' is staged cleverly by the crook couple Ray and dawn Rigel, who charge the farmers the price of their farm, but will stop at nothing to cash in and move on. The sheriff has no basis to act, except against Mac.

When baseball legend Novis Riley pledges to auction collector memorabilia for a charity TV gala, he's threatened and later blackmailed by a counterfeiter gang to steal the team champion's priceless collection after his impetuous teenage daughter, who ventured about to investigate, is kidnapped. MacGyver uses the Colton network and poses as a wacky rich baseball cards collector to work out the perpetrator's whereabouts. Noris however can't resist ignoring his warning against paying ransom, 'escapes' and needs to be rescued himself.

The Phoenix Foundation is one of the organizers of "Jerico Games" -- an international ice hockey tournament. MacGyver meets his Russian friend, Sergej, who introduces MacGyver to Nikolai Rostov, in whom the NHL is very interested. To MacGyver's surprise, Nikolai has been accommodated at his place. MacGyver goes to find the person in charge of athlete housing, only to find out that it is Ellen, his high school sweetheart from 20 years before. Old feelings resurface but why is someone secretly taking photos of them?

MacGyver arrives at a wasteland test site owned by Phoenix Foundation. There he finds an envelope waiting for him, containing an audio cassette with instructions to play it. A voice tells that he will be waiting for MacGyver ahead and then proceeds to describe how the area, once busy with living things, died. Even the air is hazardous to breathe. The voice is convinced that this is what will happen to the town of Maple Ridge if constructor Bartlett's City Development Program becomes a reality.

Earl Dent's been paroled and asks MacGyver for help. He gets him a job. But some of his former associates wants him to take them to someone who betrayed them. But Dent refuses so they proceed to frame him and tell him that unless he helps them, he's going down. When Mac hears of this he takes out his old bike and goes and joins them. However Dent's parole officer is following them.

Two guys whack a priest in the head with a metal pipe, drag him into a construction site and proceed to rob him of everything valuable. Meanwhile, MacGyver and a woman are attending a hearing about the homeless situation in the area and start wondering why Father Jim is late. The woman is Rachel, Father Jim's assistant whom he had instructed to say to MacGyver "black and blue" should he be late. It's an old expression from their hockey days, a call for help. Then the word arrives: Father Jim has been taken to hospital in a critical condition. He makes little sense as he mumbles something of Danny and Doc. The police deem it unlikely that the muggers will be caught. Then the doctor comes with the news: Father Jim has expired. It's time for MacGyver to start an investigation of his own.

A man has been killed in broad daylight and Pete is at the scene. A stranger passes Pete by and whispers into his ear: "It's off." When Pete is looking at sketches of the suspects, MacGyver notices that Pete has trouble with his vision. Agent Stams from DXS arrives to meet Pete. Phoenix took on the job of returning Samantha Lora, a political fugitive, to her home country. Samantha's supporters were going to deliver a videotape stolen from San Pablo presidential palace showing summary executions of 200 political prisoners, when they ran into a death squad waiting for them. Pete was supposed to get the tape because they have a 6 p.m. deadline for a media conference about its contents at a local broadcasting station, but the man who has it took off when the death squad appeared and his whereabouts are unknown. Samantha is the only one who knows how to contact him. And for her, Phoenix has arranged a safe place until her transport to San Pablo leaves. Pete and MacGyver go to pick up Samantha when she arrives undercover. Samantha calls the number at which the man with the tape can be contacted. He then calls her back and agrees a time and place where he will deliver the tape. MacGyver gets to be the pick-up man. But underlings of the president of San Pablo are on his tail...

MacGyver steps into a bear trap in the forest while tracking a timber wolf. Luckily for him, two friendly elderly sisters, who are not friends of bear traps, take him home and care for him. The bear trap will be his least problem.

Master-hitman Murdoc needs money, so he plans to rejoin Hitman Inc. Trust, despite them having failed to have him eliminated fro leaving HIT. Their condition is he restores his otherwise flawless hits record by catching up with his only failed contract: killing MacGyver, whom he claims to have spared after saving his sister, who recently died in an avalanche. MacGyver gets his unpleasant total surprise visit at home, allowed to survive a perfect trap 'to get even', then declared open hunt target. The first 'serious' attempt by car explosion Mac survives, but incurring amnesia, he is sheltered on a remote summer camp by mother and daughter Wilson, needing to reinvent his wits to survive against his most resourceful adversary.

Episode 20

MacGyver and the Phoenix Foundation are trying to help a Native American lawyer who's going to court to prevent a power company from building just outside their sacred land. When he loses, MacGyver decides to have some research done via satellite. When the company's rep hears of this, he worries what they might find. In the meantime, the lawyer was about to throw in the towel when an old tribesman talks to him. MacGyver goes to the reservation and discovers that the lawyer has taken arms and is doing what he has to to stop the company. Later, the rep shoots MacGyver in an attempt to frame the lawyer. While the rep chases the lawyer, MacGyver escapes and holes up in an old mine where the old man comes to him. He helps MacGyver and tries to show him what he showed the lawyer. MacGyver, upon seeing it, wonders the vision caused the lawyer to go on a rampage. He tells MacGyver, he probably misinterpreted what he showed him. And he gives MacGyver some information he needs.

Episode 21

MacGyver visits Pete Thornton in the hospital, where Pete is to have eye surgery. They talk and reminisce about their many adventures together.
