Sean and his team are in Cape Coral, Florida, in the search of the best military items and collectibles for their auction. Jim meets a seller with the gun that made the twenties roar - the 1928 Thompson submachine gun, a.k.a. the "Tommy Gun". This gun is famous for being used by lawmen and gangsters during the prohibition era. The seller bought this item from an estate sale, and Jim guarantees it'll fetch $13,000 at the auction - if it fires. Sean and Hammer evaluate what could be a Spanish helmet from the 16th century, which the seller and his brothers used to play with as kids. Reproduction armor is common, but the real thing can be worth tens of thousands of dollars. If Sean and Hammer can prove that this item is the real deal, this seller's childhood toy could be worth a fortune! Sean meets a veteran in possession of one of Sean's favorite weapons - a Queen Anne flintlock pistol. These weapons were named after the period of Queen Anne's reign from 1702-1714 and were in use up until the War of 1812! Noblemen used these duel purpose weapons, which combine a pistol with a sword, in close quarter encounters. Sean takes this multifunction gun out to the range to put it through its paces - and to guarantee it's true value. Sean meets a man in possession of a model pirate ship he's affectionately nicknamed the "S.S. Cha Ching". Model ships have been in production since the 15th century, and the seller hopes the $1,000 he paid for this item was the right investment. Although antique model ships can be worth many tens of thousands of dollars at auction, Sean wonders if this model ship should be renamed the "S.S. P.O.S."

Handheld Shotgun

Wed, Mar 13, 201322 mins

Sean and the team are in Lehigh, Florida, the gateway to southwest Florida, in the search for the best militaria for their auction. Shooter meets a seller who inherited a rare item from his grandfather - the Anti-Bandit Gun. These items were only in production from 1926-1930 so only a few remain. This item is highly collectable and can be worth thousands - if Shooter can guarantee it fires. Sean meets a modern day pirate (impersonator) who found an interesting looking treasure chest in an antique store. Its intricate locking mechanism has Sean wondering if this is the real deal - a late 16th century 'safety deposit box'. The seller, meanwhile, hopes he's found an item worth "many pieces of eight, not crap." Hammer meets a collector with a fascinating 17th century thrusting dagger from India. These were used by the Rajput warriors, the Samurai of that region at that time, in fierce close combat battles. Intricate versions of these weapons have sold for tens of thousands of dollars, but Hammer wonders if this item has collectable value to command such a lofty valuation. Shooter meets a man with the famous M2 Browning Machine Gun, or "Ma Deuce" as it's affectionately known. These were produced in 1921 and have been a part of the US military ever since. The seller bought this item in the early 1980's for $3,500, but if it fires, Shooter guarantees he can get at least $35,000 at auction!
