Episode 1
The unique bond between brothers is celebrated in the cases of Lee Sharp - who was told he was a foundling - and Peter MacDonald, who wants to see his big brother Trevor again.
Episode 2
This installment follows two birth parents. Paula, who is searching for the son she became pregnant with in 1979, and Justus Augustin, who hopes to find a daughter put up for adoption.
Episode 3
Every year on Bonfire Night, Jayne's late mother retreated from the family festivities. When she re-emerged, the family always knew she'd been crying and Jayne later found out why: when her mum was 20 and unmarried, she'd had a son who was placed for adoption. Jayne wants to find her older brother to tell him he was always thought of and loved. Meanwhile, Kevin and his late wife had a baby girl together when they were just teenagers and, at their parents' insistence, put her up for adoption - the couple stayed together and had more children, but they never forgot their eldest daughter and Kevin is determined to find her.
Episode 4
Mark Thorpe has always wondered about the identity of the baby in the photo by his late mum's bed, an image she also had tattooed on her arm, since he was a little boy - when he was older, Mark's mum revealed that she'd had a son before him who was placed for adoption, and now he yearns to find his older brother. Jane Lewis was taken into foster care when she was 11 days old - it was hoped that Jane's mother would one day return to look after Jane, but she never did and Jane remained in care for the whole of her childhood. Jane recently discovered that her mother had three other children - brothers, of which two were in care and one was adopted - and now she wants to find them.
Episode 5
Alan Parker's painful last memory of his mother is of her leaving the family home when he was five - the reason she left and what happened to her afterwards remain a mystery that Alan's desperate to solve. In the second case, seven-year-old Katherine Fletcher was told that she was adopted and felt an immediate sense of shame - although unfounded, that shame fuelled a desire to find her birth mother that has only intensified as the years have passed.
Episode 6
Following the cases of Scott - who is desperate to find an older sister who was adopted - and Jackie, whose late mother put her baby sister up for adoption.
