The incredible story of separated sisters that previously hit the headlines - the search follows one of the sisters delving into her past and reveals layers of family that she never knew existed. Christine Rose was born in Dewsbury in Yorkshire and is now 67 years old - she was separated from her sisters in dramatic circumstances at the age of four when her mother was prosecuted for neglect. The three young girls were taken from their mother by Social Services during the night and sent to separate children's homes. Christine was eventually adopted, but she remained haunted by the absence of her sisters and began to question why the family were torn apart and whether her sisters stayed together. As she is now desperate to find them, the team makes remarkable discoveries as layers of Christine's past are uncovered.

As an adult, KT searched for her birth mother and the pair reunited in 1998, but KT has always wanted to find the other half of her history in her birth father. Meanwhile, siblings Simon Munro and Carole Killick grew up apart after their mother left when Carole was a toddler and Simon a baby - they were reunited over 20 years ago and are now taking on the search for their birth mother, who was struggling with the prospect of homelessness around the time she gave them up.

Alice Jones grew up in London as the daughter of two Jamaican migrants - Alice's parents moved to the UK as part of the post-war influx of workers from Jamaica in 1954. They were both married but not to each other, and they separated when their families from Jamaica followed - Alice never formed a bond with her mother, but she did have a younger brother called Sam that she has fond memories of and has always hoped that she would one day see again. Mark Ratcliffe - a small business owner living in Eastbourne who was told that he was adopted at the age of 12 - found it difficult to comprehend how his birth mother could have given him away, and he now needs to find answers.

Martin Smith grew up in Rochdale with loving adoptive parents - he had a happy childhood, but when he started secondary school, a class project looking at baby photos revealed the truth about his past. The reality of what adoption meant then hit Martin, and now he is ready to push past his feelings of rejection and find his birth mother. Anne Jordan has been searching for her birth mother for 30 years - now happily engaged to her partner Chris, Anne can't wait to get married but won't set a date for the wedding until she has found her birth mother as it is her dream to have her there.

We also help a woman looking for answers as to why her mother disappeared over 60 years ago. Beryl Everall last saw her mother at the age of three when she mysteriously disappeared from her life. She has since found out from a distant relative that while her mother has passed away, she also had another daughter.
