Christine Gillard is looking for her first child Marguerite; given up when the toddler became too much for her elderly grandmother to cope. The second story (also from Scotland) is of Robert Lindsey, who's looking for his Yugoslavian father.

At 39, Peter Gunn has struggled to come to terms with being given up for adoption by his birth mother when he was a baby. Although he was brought up by a loving family, a sense of abandonment contributed to his going down the path of addiction. Having put his life back on track, he still wants to hear why his birth mother acted as she did. The second story involves a 71-year-old man's search for his beloved sister, who disappeared from his life over 60 years ago.

Alley Lofthouse was a famous foundling dubbed 'Little Miss Mystery', and she's searching for the woman who left her (and her half brother) on a doorstep. In the second story, Jade Hartley is searching for her father, Tony King; a cricketer from Barbados.
