The Return
Newt Call, now a bounty hunter, returns after two years away from his old hometown of Curtis Wells, which has become violent and authoritarian. He gets drawn deeper into local conflict when his partner is framed for robbery.

A 16-year-old (Devon Sawa) accused of cattle rustling will be hanged---unless Call can prove he's innocent. Meanwhile, Mattie takes on the thankless job of undertaker.

Fear
A mysterious stranger saves Maddie's life and decides to stick around but as events develop, his appearance is not as random as it seems and it leads to a showdown with one of the town's residents with deadly results.

Badlands
Mosby meets up with 3 ladies of the evening on their way to Lonesome Dove. They have to work together to make it there. Newt helps Austin guard the bank.

The Alliance
Mosby wants to expand Curtis Wells with an alliance with cattle baron Willis Logan. His son Deek Logan spoils his plans.

The Nature of the Beast
Newt is blamed for the murder of one of the prostitutes, Fiona. Josiah blames him for Hannah's death too.

Newt tries to find abducted mail-order-bride Holly before it's too late. Mosby works on the preacher's reputation.

Mattie and Tom Andrews, the new school teacher fall in love. Amanda blackmails him to help her or she will tell Mattie about his past.

Newt suffers the effects of a rattlesnake bite as he tries to help the beautiful bounty hunter Enora find her brother.

A series of murders in Curtis Wells has Newt and another bounty hunter looking for the culprit.

Newt hires on as trail boss for a local cattle baron who backs out of a deal with Mosby. Newt helps out the town and Mosby.

Austin takes payola from the outlaw merchant in the next town. The merchant wants him to get rid of Newt.

The Hideout
A dissatisfied copper mine investor sends a collector to make Mosby return his money. Amanda and Mattie are used as hostages until Mosby pays.
