At school, wild rumours are spreading about Kevin's accident and Sami is angry when she discovers Tanya is milking the situation for popularity by starting the Save Calvin Foundation. It's the day after the Battle of the Bands. Duder and Sami are eating breakfast, and Duder feels guilty about stealing Kevin's music and suggests they stop playing music for a while. Sami disagrees, but Duder convinces her they should stop. They ride to school determined to stop, but when they arrive they are overwhelmed by how popular they have suddenly become. The constant friendly greetings become too much for Duder, who hides in the toilets. He goes to enter a cubicle, and comes across Jim, who assures an uncomfortable Duder that he isn't pooping. Later, Duder finds Sami and tells her Jim expressed interest in being a drummer for Little White Lie. Zack approaches Duder and Sami and brings them out to the car park, where he shows them the merchandise he has made for them. He offers them $250 as profit from the merchandise he has already sold, and decides to become their manager, but Sami and Duder are still certain they want to stop making music. Tanya arrives sporting a Little White Lie shirt and buys a Little White Lie badge from Zack. She invites Sami and Duder to her party. After she leaves, Zack asks them if they would make some more music. Sami is reluctant, but Duder has changed his mind since Tanya arrived, so Sami agrees, and she takes the money from Zack before walking off. As she as Duder leave, Zack celebrates to himself, claiming he kept them together.

Sami, Duder and Jim have been waiting for Toby to arrive for an hour. Impatient, Duder and Jim decide to go to Nigel Waters' shop and jam if Toby is there when they get back. When they arrive Nigel is talking to a customer. Nigel greets Duder ecstatically, and Duder introduces him to Jim. Nigel tells Duder and Jim that they can use his recording studio for free, and that he has an industry friend coming to town soon who would like to hear their music. Sami stays at home and waits for Toby, at first in her front garden, then in her bedroom. Finally Toby arrives, saying he is late because he was with Tanya. He sees Kevin's music and finds a song titled Sami, leading him to ask Sami why she would write a love song for herself. She tells him it's because she doesn't think any guy would write her a love song, so she did it herself. Toby tells her he doesn't understand why she would think that. Sami's dad walks in with some drinks, and Toby leaves. Duder arrives, excited about Nigel's proposition, but Sami is too preoccupied with Kevin's song, so Duder goes to get ice-cream with Jim.
