Good son Tyler's first visit to campus doesn't immediately advance him to desired autonomy, as his overprotective mother embarrassingly clings to sending him off like a toddler, despite some support from father Tim, yet he even ends up eating her mainly symbolical sandwich. Patriarchal grandpa John actually organized his own (mock) funeral, albeit with him in an actual casket, but although the reluctant clan attempts to go along with the macabre farce, 'black sheep' Matt's unfit speech is cut short and 'widow' Sophia cuts trough the crap. After scary advice from a disturbed gynecologist, Heather gives birth to John's favorite son Tim's firstborn.

Firstborn Tyler having moved to college, Tim and Heather want a fourth baby 'to do it all right at last', but his rare shot at sex is ruined as she takes offense at anything he phrases too honestly. Penniless Matt has moved back home with dad John, whose tequila-in-tank trick only gets his derelict car running long enough to reach his unaffordable restaurant date Colleen, which still works out great as she was stood up as bride and he offers to come along trying to cancel her reservation. Cool uncle Matt helps Tyler cover up his 'drug stash' for the ex-cons charity moving company staff at Greg's new home. As Heather's weird gynecologist predicted, she's off sex after peeking at her postnatal vagina, but 'the glove' gives Greg a last shot at resuming intercourse.

Sleepy Email Brunch Tree*A tree grew too big and must be cut down, which the boys attempt by ax, but even the patriarchal chainsaw proves a hard call, with the women commenting meanly. Matt cunningly cues his lover Colleen, invited for her first family brunch, to handle the many sensitivities, and she scores even with Tim's kids who simply seeks cahoots to get to 'contraband'. Greg gets abuse instead of gratitude when having volunteered to stock up at night he's arrested by a cop by the book. Greg is indignant Heather 'accidentally' threw some of his favorite old stuff in the garbage, yet saves her bacon when all her draconian attempts to prevent the kids intervening with an email to prevent her being enlisted for another kids farm trip fail utterly.

Also, Chad insists on having one last meal with Colleen's grandmother before heading off to jail, Matt and Greg discourage Tim from beating John at a round of golf and Sophia gets a peanut stuck up her nose.
