Episode 1
-At her twin brother's wedding, Geneviève Dubé-Ouellet is caught up in old memories. At 12 years old, Geneviève regularly takes refuge at her cousin's house to eat her fill and get a break from her violent stepfather. Her comfort quickly turns into a nightmare when she finds herself alone with Henri Champagne, her cousin's partner.
Episode 2
-In February 2009, in Timmins, Ontario (Canada), Cecile Fournel made her daughter-in-law take a drug that caused her to become drowsy, put her to bed and set a fire. The police officer by trade refused to let her daughter-in-law leave town with her grandchildren. Chantal Boudreau escaped unharmed. Cécile Fournel, acquitted of attempted murder, is sentenced to five years in prison.
Episode 3
-In the fall of 2007, Manon met Patrick Deschâtelets and had her first BDSM relationship with him. At first enthusiastic, she quickly became disillusioned: he became more and more insistent and no longer respected her lover's limits. Manon gives Patrick one last chance during a weekend of sexual games. The meeting turns into a drama when Deschâtelets leaves Manon alone and tied up for a few minutes.
Episode 4
-Zoé is 16 years old when she meets Jahmane Bolton, a rapper living the high life. For two years, he manipulates her and prepares her to become an erotic dancer. The young girl who believes in a story of love and glamour dances for 5 years for the benefit of the pimp. Zoé's parents despair of making her leave this toxic environment. Jahmane's repeated beatings of Zoé finally convince her to flee and file a complaint against him.
Episode 5
-Roxane De La Bruère had been in a relationship with Michaël Asselin for just over two years when, on March 30, 2013, he pulled a sawed-off shotgun on her and her two children. Their story is an escalation of violence whose main witness is Roxane's little daughter. They escape the horror and find refuge in a shelter. Nine months later, Roxane gives a true account of the events of that evening.
Episode 6
-On December 12, 2007, Marie-Jeanne Bédard filed a complaint for threats against her son Christian Houle, aged 27. He was immediately summoned to the Sûreté du Québec station in Laurier-Station. Against all odds, Christian revealed to the police officer that his mother had sexually abused him when he was 13 years old. The young man self-mutilated himself for years to overcome his distress. He finally has the satisfaction of seeing his mother judged for her actions.
Episode 7
-Karine Lucas met Alain Bilodeau when she was a teenager. They quickly settled into a dynamic relationship where Alain controlled and Karine provided for their financial needs. After 16 years of a stormy relationship and the birth of two little girls, Karine left her spouse. Alain does not accept the breakup and a round of false accusations, harassment and threats follows. Despite her intuition of danger and numerous calls to the police, Karine does not believe Alain is capable of attempted murder. And yet.
Episode 8
-In the summer of 2010, following a call from the Autorité des marchés financiers, Marie-Noëlle Déry, a 69-year-old widow, discovered that her financial planner had cheated her. Thanks to her determination, an investigation revealed that Carole Morinville had embezzled $3.5 million between 2005 and 2010, which had been entrusted to her by some 60 investors.
Episode 9
-France Cloutier, 38 years old, loves her work as a caregiver on an Amerindian reserve in the Haute-Mauricie region. In 2008, one night in September, she was sexually assaulted by a colleague from the school. Her assailant was in an advanced state of inebriation and the great violence he displayed left France shattered.
Episode 10
-In 1994, Guillaume Gosselin, 6 and a half years old, denounced his father to the authorities. The 37-year-old man had been abusing his children for several years through psychological torture, physical abuse and sexual abuse. He is arrested and incarcerated for 22 years. Guillaume Gosselin tries to rebuild himself while hiding his identity. But in 2011, he has had enough and goes to the media to reveal his true identity and his story: he is the youngest son of the Beaumont executioner.
