Episode 1

The team have bored themselves out of their minds while split-up inactive, even committed break-ins just for the kicks, so they invade Nate's place hoping he'll hand them another case. Although reluctant to be stuck with them, especially at home, he gives in 'just once' after witnessing bank employee Matt Kerrigan nearly dying with his child in a car hit and run as diversion for the theft of incriminating documents. They work out the bank, about to be taken over by the government to settle unsurmountable debts, is a front for an Irish mob. However it soon becomes clear the criminal hierarchy is dramatically different from what Nate assumed, so they must improvise.

Nebraska gym owner and fight promoter Jed Rucker's greed wrecked talented Mark Howorth's career and condition by chemically fixing a fight. Nate promises Mark and his dad Jack justice and soon decides to put Jed out of business. A faked golf dare is followed by a sting to lure Jed into investing more then he can afford to lose in a fictitious internet competition, starring 'discovery' Eliot.

Armenian hedge fund boss Eddie Maranjian swindled many out of their savings but gets off with short, light time in exchange for ratting on the Armenian mob. After preventing a victim's brother from shooting him in the courtroom, Nate promises revenge -seizing the hidden cash- before he's transferred to jail. Eliot and Alec impersonate half of the assigned US Marshall, the rest staff and patients in a hospital ward. Maranjian is made to believe he's interned in a fatal virus quarantine, then tempted and guided to 'escape'. Meanwhile Eliot noticed bully Randall Trent repeatedly brings in his young son Randy with fractures suggesting gross abuse. The betrayed mob also has a plan for Eddie.

The team accepts to recuperate some of the money a shamelessly fraudulent investment banker stole from a medical charity. As he's under house arrest during the official investigation, the team must draw him out and provide a valid exemption. Thereto, Nate arranges to stop in for the headmaster of the banker's stepson Widmark Fowler's exclusive Boston private school and hires several team members as coach etcetera.

TV scandal show host Monica Hunter's lies ruin people's lives for the sake of her program ratings. Nate agrees to stop her and lets Sophie try 'playing his part' as mastermind, although his coaching remains required. A fake secret military prisons scandal is set up which can then expose her, but she decides not to air it as it fails to shock the average viewer. Another sting is mounted, even hastier.

Lillian foods VP Erik Casten has sneakily chosen not to recall tons of produce past-date after calculations a lawsuit would cost less. To expose him, the team must get to his super-protected computer files. Their best shot is during the annual staff bonding day. Nate is hired as sabotaged magician Chronos's replacement by CEO William Taylor Price, but this magic proves hard to work for the whole team.

When Nate accepts to 'steal back' Nazi-confiscated art, Sophie is nearly killed by a bomb, so they stage her 'funeral' and identify it's the work of a rival, non-reformed mastermind's team. Only he constitutes one for every big job and this one must have been a 'test-drive'. Nevertheless, the battle of robbery skills and wits for a van Gogh proves closer-matched than ever before.

Diamond trader Jim Kerrity III arranged to have his own armored car robbed, the single guard was suspended without pay. Nate accepts to help him and break the crook. During Sophie's self-searching, the other team members assume shifted parts. Kerrity, known to be in debt with the Russian mob, is made to believe Harrison holds one of the world's rare lasers to mark with international serial numbers or un-mark. Things are complicated urgently as the Russian accomplices have their own ruthless agenda.

Boston tycoon, Bennett Kimball, dies from a lingering disease. Ruth Walton hires the team because he promised her children's foundation his entire fortune. However his Harvard lawyer, Peter Blanchard, sabotaged the new will to remain the sole executer and real beneficiary. Ruth's lawyer, Tara Carlisle, insists on tagging along with Nathan, but is too naive for his kind of work. They play hardball to get at Blanchard via his jailed former partner P J Orson, rightly suspected of mob connections. Kimball and Ruth's own secret pasts complicate things considerably, yet hold the key to the fortune.

A Boston immigration advocate informs Nathan about Russel and Gloria Pan's Golden Panda knock-off fashion sweat shop, which pays far less than minimum wage and uses dangerous food supplements to keep the workers working extra-long hours. To take down the Pans, Nate poses as fashion investor Jacques Bouvier, who recruits 'talented designer' Gloria. They scam $50,000 from them, but Russel turns out to be an alias of Triad big wig Nicholas Chow, so now they're up against the powerful Chinese gangsters.

Nathan accepts the case of Cora McRory, who inherited the bar where Nate's dad taught him everything about (criminal) life. It's about to be seized by loan shark Mark Doyle, from Belfast. The team sets up a 'wire' sting to win the $15,000 she needs to save the inheritance, then decides to get rid of Doyle more permanently.

Nate's ex Maggie Collins is arrested as the sole suspect of the theft of a Fabergé egg, which was sold for $9,000,000 to US embassy economic liaison Alexander Lundy. The case is brought to them by Nate's archenemy Jim Sterling, because the egg was insured with his firm IS. The team soon works out Alexander plays a dirty part in the game, but scary surprises follow for them, Sterling and Lundy.

The brother of gullible, pregnant widow Jodie McManus asks Nate to prevent her from selling her home after spending all her late husband Mike's inheritance on clever TV "psychic" Dalton Rand. The team elaborately convinces Rand that Tara is a real clairvoyant, so he'll engage her as his assistant, instead of loyal researcher Wilson Perry. Then criminal Nickolas Kusen is convinced of the psychics' abilities and kidnaps them, so the team has to expose both crooks.

Lieutenant Patrick Bonanno's wife Wendy gets Nate's help after he was critically wounded in a mysterious shooting. The team goes after his only unofficial case, corruption in Belbridge, Massachusettes. Mayor Bradford Culpepper III, is up for reelection. His campaign sponsors include Kadjic and real estate entrepreneur Lionel Gitt - actually Nate. Realizing Culpepper's passion is baseball, he pretends to be building a new stadium for a nearby team he's buying, hoping to be bribed with illegal funds. But the team didn't count on another party.

Episode 15

Even now the Mayor is in the FBI's hands, as their informer, Nate wants to continue the plan. His team liberates Culpepper from incompetent FBI special agent Nevins' men, only so that Nate can be trapped by present Interpol agent Jim Sterling. Jim offers a steep deal: Nate's freedom if he helps trap all his own team. He calls Sophie, and surprises everyone while neatly helping to put arms dealer Kadjic and his small army of heavily armed goons away.
