6 Episodes 2013 - 2013
Episode 1
Denny Finch, a thirty-something, recently single, failed filmmaker, has been asked by his cousin Darryl to film his upcoming wedding. Begrudingly Denny makes his way to the country town of Wonthaggi and after an altercation with a local antique store owner (Bob Franklin), he is met by his extended family aboard a minibus driven by his cousin Roo. The bus idles, ready to transport the gang to the nearby town of Leongatha where his cousin Darryl's wedding is taking place but they can't leave yet as Denny's grandmother Lorna and Uncle Jim are running late. While he waits, Denny is asked to be Darryl's fill-in best man and he meets a mysterious stranger aboard the bus who introduces herself as Mazzy.
Episode 2
After finally leaving the country town of Wonthaggi, the bus heads to the small coastal town of Cape Paterson to pick up the marriage celebrant, Sally. Denny quickly learns of a romantic history between Sally and his father Bob. After collecting the celebrant, the trip is delayed further when Denny's grandmother Lorna reveals to the group that she wishes to spread their dead grandfather's ashes at a nearby secluded beach known as Shack Bay. Despite the complaints from some of Denny's family, a makeshift funeral is held by the sea where Denny gets another chance to get to know the mysterious Mazzy a little better.
Episode 3
Fresh from the belated ashes dispersal of the late Walter Finch, Denny, Darryl and the rest of the gang race to the next stop on their journey, the town of Inverloch. Stopping to pick up the bride's sister Samantha, her husband Alex and their two children Mary and Freddie by now the bus is already half an hour late. After enduring a verbal barrage from his soon to be sister in law, Darryl is now well aware of his impending nuptials becoming delayed. After a roadside toilet break goes wrong, the gang are asked to get off the bus and begin a search party for Mary who has seemingly gotten lost in the scrub. During the search Denny finds out a little more about the mysterious Mazzy.
Episode 4
After Mary is located, a frustrated Darryl decides to take the wheel. Desperate to make up time he takes a shortcut but when that proves to be a dead end, debate rages as to what route the bus should take. In the confusion Darryl doesn't notice the pedestrian on the side of the road, local councilwoman Marilyn Poole, and promptly runs her over. Now, not only are they running late, they have a body to deal with and when the local police show up on the scene everybody panics.
Episode 5
Leaving behind a trail of destruction the bus continues on its way to Leongatha, with Denny, Darryl, Mazzy and the rest of the gang on board. Finally it seems as if they might get to their destination only a few hours behind schedule when the bus decides it has had enough. Despite Roo and Sally's best efforts the bus refuses to transport them any further throwing Darryl into a tailspin. Denny pulls Darryl aside and motivates him to get his family to Leongatha at all costs, firing the groom to be into action. Meanwhile, during some quiet time alone, Denny decides it's time to make his move on Mazzy.
Episode 6
After lengthy delays, an impromptu funeral service, the search for Mary Co'ckhead, running over a local pedestrian (twice) and the bus finally breaking down, Denny and his family finally make it to Leongatha, albeit seven hours late for Darryl's wedding. When Darryl's bride to be announces that she has called the wedding off, it's left up to Denny to convince her to reconsider.
