Shotz calls his bottlecapping line people to a mandatory meeting in the breakroom that he conducts over the loudspeaker as is custom. He informs them that he's purchased a device 'that makes bottlecapping extremely easy'. So easy, he adds, that their jobs are no longer required and for them to remove their personal belongings and leave immediately. Just as the girls are preparing to leave, he stops them and offers them Lenny and Squiggy's job washing delivery trucks at 'a small cut in pay'. They respond by grabbing ketchup and mustard dispensers from a nearby table and defacing the painting of Shotz. With no more left to lose, the girls pack up and head to California.
