Lazyfoot, Where Are You?

Lazyfoot and a tribe of renegades raid the town of El Presidio which calls the Texas Rangers for help. Parmalee sends the three rangers ahead to scout for Lazyfoot while disguised as prospectors and he will follow with a troop of Rangers. At El Presidio Cooper and Riley want to join Grubby who says he has hit a strike in the area where Lazyfoot is hiding. Reese disagrees so they trick the Sheriff into locking him up as a suspected sheep rustler. Cooper, Riley, and Grubby are captured by Lazyfoot. Reese frees only Grubby thinking he will get in on Grubby's gold. Paralee arrives and stopping Lazyfoot becomes an issue as he has a Gatling gun and dynamite to aid in his ambush of Parmalee. Reese saves the day but Cooper and Riley take the credit while Grubby has a surprise for all of them.

The three rangers are sent to a border town to repel Mexican raiders back across the border. While Reese contends with an older Mexican only wanting to celebrate Alamo Day by taking over the jail, Chad and Joe are stripped of their boots and guns along with the rest of the town by Paco Vargas and his gang. They strip the town and take Reese as a captive. Chad and Joe share a horse and gun to go after the gang and rescue Reese. A friendship develops between Reese and the older Mexican while Vargas shows his contempt for both of them. As per usual the rangers drift a bit outside the law to accomplish their goals.

The eastern constable Clendon MacMillan has come to Texas to teach the dirty and untrustworthy Texas Rangers how to use modern police techniques to stop crime. Parmalee sends MacMillan out with the three rangers to stop Running Antelope and his gang from raiding and burning local towns. Chad and Joe tease Reese about how good a tracker MacMillan is. Running Antelope has some men look for the posse and attack it stealing Reese's horse. The rangers catch one man and take him to a nearby town where the gang has just hit and Linda Little Trees has been caught. While the Sheriff and the three rangers have dinner, MacMillan questions Linda and decides she will lead him to the gang. In reality she leads him in circles and takes him prisoner while the other three rangers track them. They learn why Running Antelope stole a cannon and ammo for it and MacMillan shows off his "new methods" as a captive.

Rendezvous at Arillo

Durkee a member of the Jamison gang has turned informer. Parmalee sends the rangers to meet him and capture the Jamison gang when they return from Mexico. Near their destination they encounter a widow and her two children with a wagon that has lost a wheel. As they repair the wheel, the widow is impressed with Reese. When she learns they are rangers, she believes they were sent by the governor in response to her letter about Sam Burns trying to claim her farm for taxes. Jamison learns Durkee has informed on him but decides to use Durkee to distract the rangers. Jamison, Burns, and the gang want to recover the silver they buried in the widow's barn. The rangers uncover Durkee's attempt to misled them and Chad gives Reese some matrimonial help while they try to recover the silver and capture the Jamison gang.

Three's Company

Railroad owner Theo Henderson and daughter Emily arrive in Laredo to see their old friend Chad. The beautiful Emily and Chad have a mutual attraction and Mr. Henderson is looking at Chad to help build his railroad starting with a tenfold increase in salary. Joe and Reese with initial help from the Captain try to interfere and keep Chad in the rangers. However, Chad sees through their actions and Chad leaves the rangers with plans to marry Emily. However, as Chad and the Hendersons prepare to leave Laredo, Joe and Reese are trying to help a wagon train under Indian attack. When Parmalee goes to their aid undermanned, Chad learns the truth about Emily's attitude on Chad's future role in their marriage and with others.

Chad loses his horse, gun, and clothes to Billy Harker's girl Laurie while trying to capture Billy. He returns to Laredo for clothes and a horse without Parmalee knowing. Parmalee sends Joe and Reese after the horse Chad took thinking it was stolen. They catch up with Chad and Laurie but she keeps giving them the slip while making Reese believe she is trying to help them. She leads them on a wild goose chase until she runs into some cowboys and convinces them to protect her from the rangers. Joe realizes the best thing to do is let Laurie believe she got away and follow her to Billy Harker's hiding place. They final catch the outlaw group but Laurie is still trying to work her charms on Parmalee in jail.

A Question of Discipline

After fighting again in the saloon, Parmalee assigns the men to escort a load of buffalo hides as punishment. Reese and Chad are fighting over the saloon girl Princess plus Chad is being chased by the wife of Louis Montaigne who owns a general store. When Princess and her co-worker are fired due to the fights, they need to leave town and Mrs. Montaigne decides to leave her husband. Chad and Reese include the three women on the trip without anyone else knowing. Montaigne is selling supplies to the Comanches and decides to sneak rifles inside the buffalo hides and let the Comanches take them by force. The rangers expecting in Joe's words a "picnic" find the trip to be anything but a picnic.

The Golden Trail

Reese is called into Captain Parmalee's office for a special solo assignment shortly after spreading rumors of a $100,000 gold coin shipment. Parmalee sends him to Red River to pick up a shipment coming from St. Louis and return it to his office. Before leaving he stops in the saloon for a drink with Chad and Joe who probe for details. A member of the Baker gang overhears the conversation assumes Reese is picking up $100,000 in gold. He relays the information to the rest of the gang which is overheard by Ma Burns and her daughter who run their boarding house. Reese who has picked up the shipment is met by Tom Baker who knows Reese but Reese refuses to give up the shipment. In Galsburg Sheriff Cottrell and his deputies offer to escort Reese through the county. The Baker gang decides to ambush Reese at Getaway Pass. At the pass Reese decides the Sheriff wants to steal the shipment which turns out to be true. He uses him as a shield to get through the pass leaving the Sheriff with the Baker gang on foot only to encounter Ma Burns and daughter with a broken wheel. They finally take the wagon from Reese but he is able to reclaim it by borrowing a mule and rifle. He is finally trapped in a gun battle with the Baker gang, the Sheriff with his men, and the women. Joe and Chad ride to the rescue but they can't save Reese's reputation with Parmalee as Chad reveals the shipment contents.

A Matter of Policy

A state senator is coming to visit Laredo and is riding with Parmalee on the stage. The stage is held up by the Davis gang and the senator's watch and medal are stolen. They are forced to walk to Laredo arriving as the three rangers are fighting after a card game. They try to make amends with a Texas breakfast the next morning but the card game losers force them to dump the breakfast on top of the senator. Reese decides they should make themselves look good by recruiting a fake Davis gang to kidnap the senator and they would rescue him. Unknown to Reese one of his potential recruits is a member of the real Davis gang which decides to kidnap the senator and make the rangers look like fools. They succeed but the rangers persevere to track and find the senator and Parmalee.

Which Way Did They Go?

The rangers round up the Slaughter gang and money they stole and turn them in to the jail at San Bara. While putting the money in the bank's secure vault, Reese and the rangers encounter Emma Bristow, a lady of culture, trying to obtain a loan to pay for her trip to California. The bank turns her down as her nightly shows on culture and art have not attracted a large following. Chad and Joe volunteer Reese to help her sell tickets which he does. During the show the Slaughters escape and the bank is robbed. Most think it was the Slaughters but a drunk witness says it was a different group. The rangers follow the tracks of the second gang but have to split up. Reese, alone, has his horse trip and injure itself. He meets Emma on the road in her wagon and uses it to track the men. Chad and Joe after the other part of the gang catch up with Reese as Emma apparently saves his life. They soon learn from the wounded man they were part of a bigger scheme.

Jinx

Cletus Grogan is a man who believes he is a jinx to the world around him. He is a childhood friend of Reese whose entry into Laredo would indicate the jinx is still strong. Reese pushes him to join the Rangers and the four men are sent to track down Linda Little Trees and several other outlaws that have banded together. Chad has plans to use Cletus's jinx ability in a poker game but each of the rangers finds himself a victim of the jinx as they trail the outlaws to the town of Simpkin where they robbed the bank. Joe goes ahead to track the outlaws while the others take care of their jinx related problems. Joe is captured by Linda who becomes infatuated with him. The other three rangers catch up with the outlaws resulting in Chad and Reese in a gunfight with them. Reese decides to fake a wound to trick Cletus into tackling the outlaws which he does successfully. Everyone including Cletus finally believe the jinx is broken but maybe it was simply transferred - to another ranger!

The Land Grabbers

Paralee and the rangers are sent to handle security for a land rush in Texas. They are undermanned to handle the problems which include Sooners who are staking claims early in order to beat the others. This includes a group of ex-criminals who are after prime river land. The rangers meet the elderly Major Donaldson with his beautiful daughter and grandson from England who are also after the same river land. Due to a lack of men Parmalee asks Commissioner Smoot to delay the run to catch Sooners returning before the rush begins. When Smoot declines, Joe and Reese scheme to break Smoot's glasses and change his watch. It allows them to catch some Sooners but the criminal gang after the river land prove to still be a problem. Suspecting them of cheating Parmalee has Joe take down their claims but the men fight back. Meanwhile Chad with a bit of help from Joe and Reese decides to help the Major who has collapsed before he can register his claim.

The Pride of the Rangers

The Rangers and the Army have a continuing battle over who is the best. The Army is putting up its boxing champ against the best the Rangers can produce on the Fourth of July. Ranger Moran is goaded into taking the challenge. The Pryor gang has been stealing silver shipments from a local mine and the Rangers are being pressed to catch them. Parmalee decides to move the silver into the bank and hope the gang strikes the mine on the Fourth of July. He assigns all the rangers to work that day costing Ranger Moran a month's wages for missing the fight. Chad and Joe as usual scheme to get Moran in the ring not realizing they have fallen afoul of the gang pulling an inside job. When the silver is stolen, they have to recover it and handle the fallout.

The Heroes of San Gill

Chad and Joe want to go to an annual festival at San Gill. However, Capt. Parmalee is leaving town to give a speech and puts the Rangers in charge of the Laredo office while he's away. Then, when Reese returns from an assignment, Chad and Joe trick Reese into assuming the role of "acting captain" so they can go to San Gill. Reese discovers he has been had and heads to San Gill as well. Unknown to all the three Rangers, there are two complications awaiting them in San Gill. One, that's where Capt. Parmalee went to give his speech. Second, there is a plot being hatched in San Gill to kill officials of the Mexican government.

A Medal for Reese

Joe and Chad are constantly pulling con jobs on Reese to trick him into taking all the grunt jobs. A payroll escorted by the Army is stolen by a group with military precision. Parmalee decides to set a trap for them but sends the three Rangers out by themselves to track the group down. They find the thieves which consists of French military officers and several Mexicon soldiers. Chad and Joe trick Reese into entering the camp as a spy. He does so successfully but the French officers are suspicious of him. He tells them Parmalee is ending another payroll to force the group to split up and allow Chad and Joe to find the missing payroll. The trick appears to work until Joe and Chad are caught followed by Reese being forced to help capture Parmalee. One of the officers decides Reese should be shot as a spy. However, the firing squad has been infiltrated by Chad and Joe who escaped. In the end they tell Reese Parmalee has a gold medal for him sent by the Governor.

The Calico Kid

After Chad and Brown run the Ramirez gang out of Guarded Wells, the town treats the pair to everything, and Chad meets a beautiful dreamer girl, Lorrie, that keeps talking about a tough called The Calico Kid. Not realizing one of their benefactors is actually the leader of the Ramirez gang who is pushing the Rangers to return to Laredo, the Rangers want to stay, so they tell Parmelee and the town that The Calico Kid is on the way. When Parmalee questions whether the Calico Kid is real, Reese backs up Chad and Joe unsure himself what they are up to. As the issue of the Calico Kid heats up, Lorrie's grandfather Sam confesses to Chad and Joe he is the real but retired Calico Kid. Joe and Chad decide to stage a fake attack on the town by the Calico Kid to cover their story. Jacobus Carson decides to use the ruse to cover the Ramirez gang robbing the bank planning to play the part of the Calico Kid himself. The whole act nearly fails when Paramlee and Reese appear unexpectedly but Lorrie seeing the robbery alerts Joe allowing the Rangers to nab the Ramirez gang, recover the stolen money and save their jobs.

Above the Law

When an innocent man is convicted for murdering a man, his wife hires a gunman, Jab Harlan, to prove his innocence. He arranges the escape of a second man who did participate in the crime hoping he will lead Jab to the real accomplice. Reese is sent after the escapee, Brad Scanlon, and almost captures him until Jab interferes. Reese takes Jab in to Parmalee who tells Jab to stay in Laredo but Jab sneaks out of town. Scanlon meets his girl friend Lilah Evans and they trick Reese into thinking Scanlon has been killed. Jab knows better and trails Scanlon only to see him killed. He plots with Lilah to trick the accomplice but Reese has also learned Scanlon is not dead or so he thought. Reese thinks he has the situation under control but it is really Jab controlling Reese but he does need Reese's help.

A pair of young English actors are arrested when their troupe manager bolts town with the gate receipts without paying the company's bills. Chad, in town pursuing an outlaw, convinces the sheriff to leave the young men in his care and turns them loose outside of town to return an earlier favor. The thespians decide to try to con a small community by pretending to be a preacher and a recent convert, but their act works better than they wished and soon the fake-minister is conducting an illegal wedding between a gunslinger and his fiancée.

Limit of the Law Larkin

The new Judge Larkin is strict with the law and shows no mercy. The clerk from Uvalde County is chased to Larado with a box of documents he saved from the burning of the court house in Uvalde. The citizens there burned it trying to destroy the documents crooked Judge Macallam uses to blackmail the citizens. Judge Larkin decides Cotton Buckmeister a new ranger should take the documents back to Uvalde to await Judge Larkin when he learns Cotton is familiar with the area. Cotton resists the assignment but he goes aided by Chad and Joe. Joe and Chad learn Cotton escaped jail in Uvalde for failing to marry the crooked Judge's sister Ada. The citizens try to bribe the rangers to turn over the documents but the men purse their duty putting their lives on the line as usual.

Meanwhile Back at the Reservation

After rounding up the Morgan gang, Joe and Chad take in an orphaned Comanche boy. Being an orphan, they ask Parmalee to make him a Ranger. He is given various duties in the stable, office, and barracks. Chad and Joe tell Parmalee that they don't think the Morgan gang was stealing Greevy's cattle so Parmalee sends Reese and a couple of other Rangers to Mexico to look for them. Parmalee plans to send Chad and Joe out as well but when they report multiple well known outlaws and gunfighters in town he has them investigate. By the time nine of the men of shown up, they realize Greevy hired them. They convince Greevy his plan won't work and to send the men packing after paying them off. Greevy tries but Jug Herriot points out to the others it is nine of them versus three Rangers so they decide to take the town. The three Rangers end up needing a "little" more help.

The Treasure of San Diablo

Reese and Cotton Buckmeister are sent to San Diablo to help with bandits who repeatedly hit the town. Upon arrival Reese stops Ben Slick and Dandy Davis who are bullying the patrons of a bar. Dandy is taken prisoner and Slick is sent packing. Don Julio asks Reese to stay in the town to train a local militia so they can protect themselves while Cotton returns with Dandy to Laredo. Reese finds himself the center of attention in the town and with the affections of Lupita. Being a bit jealous Cotton returns with his prisoner who lets slip to Gonzales that Reese is really after hidden treasure. Gonzales and Apache Annie allow Cotton to believe he has found a map to the treasure while the town and Gonzales turn on Reese leading to him being ousted as their leader. But when Slick returns with friends to take the town and Cotton as prisoner, Reese is caught in the middle with few options.

No Bugles, One Drum

Reese pitches a plan to use Joe as bait to catch Linda Little Tree but Parmalee doesn't want to use it. He tells them to go to the barracks, prepare for the next day's assignments, and stay off the street. They skirt his rules by using the alleys and in the process catch one of three men escaping jail. Problem is that the man they caught is a Texas Ranger plant who was to escape with Linda Little Tree's men and capture her. Joe trails the other two men while Chad is at Laredo and Reese goes to San Antonio. Joe is captured and wedding plans are made by Linda Little Tree for her and Joe with Blue Dog steaming mad as usual. The planted Ranger, Willie Tinney, decides on his own to go after them as he knows where they were headed. He is able to continue his friendship with the other escapees but a bartender there recognizes him.

Miracle at Massacre Mission

Reese is ordered to escort to nuns to an abandoned Catholic mission. They plan to convert the local Comanche Indians to Christianity. Reese, and later Chad and Joe, cannot convince the women of the danger, but little do the Rangers realize that their real peril will come from the outlaws that have hidden their ill-gotten loot under the mission chapel's floor.

Three outlaws take over a stagecoach way station waiting for their partner to arrive with money to help them escape to Mexico, not realizing that their confederate has already been captured. Reese, pretending to be a cattle buyer, tries to capture the men but is recognized; Joe, pretending to be a peddler of women's notions is also captured. Their only chance to survive is to promote discord among the bandits by causing them to fall out over their women captives.

A Very Small Assignment

After an Indian attack on a wagon train, Parmalee plans to send the three Rangers to look for the renegades. When a new school teacher, Mr. Pringle, is reported missing, Reese as usual speaks forcing Parmalee to take action he wanted to avoid. The men think Reese is making up his story about a toothache so Parmalee sends him alone to find the schoolmaster. At the Gutters Gulch Depot Reese arrives as Pringle walks in having gotten off the train 40 miles early. Overhearing Reese talk, outlaw Anson Jones hears Pringle is an important person in Laredo. Having been arrested and sent to prison by Reese, he decides with his three friends to capture Pringle for ransom and kill Reese. As Pringle does not know how to ride a horse, the two men are forced to camp overnight and are attacked but Reese wounds Jones. The next morning they track down Doc Severson for Reese's toothache but fall into Jones's hands when they track the doctor to Jones's hideout. It is up to Reese to figure a way out of their predicament while enduring the toothache.

Quarter Past Eleven

An angry citizen presses Parmalee to send men out at night to track a group of men who robbed him. Parmalee decides to send the three Rangers when a man riding into Laredo with a dangerous and familiar look to Parmalee causes him to keep Reese in town to watch the man. At the same time Reese reminds the men that the next day is Parmalee's four year anniversary with the Rangers in Laredo. They decide to throw him a party with Reese handling the details. After learning the name of the stranger at the hotel, Reese finds the saloon's cook is gone so he decides to bake the cake himself. Chad and Joe catch some of the robbers and recover $1700. Parmalee searches for why the stranger is familiar to him. Looking through old papers Parmalee discovers the man's earlier name. He and Parmalee shot each other when Parmalee arrested and sent him to prison. Reese and Joe work on the cake "recipe" with strange results. Parmalee visits Big Mike Kelly who challenges him. Parmalee tells the Rangers to stay out of it but they try to psych out Kelly. In the end Reese has a very unusual cake for Parmalee - a day early.

The Deadliest Kid in the West

Reese, Chad and Joe trail a wounded train robber Lance Mabry to his ranch and encounter the thief's feisty teen-aged daughter Missy who is unaware of her father's criminal activities. Although severely wounded, the rangers are able to treat Mabry allowing him to recover. Mabry tells the men the Nick Morgan gang is after him because he took the money after overhearing them plan to keep his share of the loot after he was wounded. The rangers return to Laredo to tell Parmalee they recovered the money and all the bandits are dead. Reese tells the heroic tale of how they killed the gang while fighting a fire that threatened to burn them out. The tale continues with Mabry giving his life to save the rangers and Missy. After hearing his tale, Parmalee tells them a story about the three rangers killing the Morgan gang by themselves followed by the rangers plotting to allow Lance and Missy to escape. The rangers are hard pressed to know how Parmalee knows the truth until he reveals Mabry gave himself up so as to not be on the run. Parmalee rewards the rangers with new equipment - shovels to clean the stable!

Sound of Terror

A traveling chamber of horrors and seaman Shamus McCloud riding with a scissors and knife sharpener arrive in town at the same time. Meanwhile Joe is playing a marathon card game with a crooked gambler at the saloon. McCloud is looking for his brother who was at the hotel. The owners of the hotel tell him his brother was never there but the daughter Barbara tells him on the side to see Dr. Ingram. As Joe gives an IOU in the card game, McCloud confronts Ingram about his brother. Ingram tells McCloud his brother died of a disease he eventually thought was cholera. McCloud accuses him of letting his brother die to protect the town. That night Ingram's dog is killed followed by the gambler the next night. Joe is a suspect but Ingram believes McCloud is guilty. Ingram has an interest in Barbara but so does McCloud. This is followed by the murder of Agnes Halsey and an attempt on Quitch of the show. McCloud asks to be arrested to prove his innocence when another murder occurs. While in jail playing cards McCloud, Chad, and Joe realize the common denominator between the murders as the killer makes an attempt on Barbara behind a busy Reese using the killer's tools to sharpen his knife.

The Would-Be Gentleman of Laredo

Reese rescues Don Carlos, his sister Dona Dolores, and their mortally wounded father from bandits. As he dies, the father asks that Reese be given an equal share in the old land grant they have for Laredo and Laredo County. The Laredo banker believing their claim, allows Don Carlos and Reese to have unlimited lines of credit. Many of the people decide to take Don Carlos's offer of low interest mortgages for the property they had claimed making Don Carlos, his sister, and Reese wealthy instantly. Since Dona Dolores has become Reese's close companion, Joe and Chad decide to teach Reese how to be a gentleman starting with new clothes and Chad giving lessons on fencing when Reese is challenged. Parmalee is suspicious of the land grant so he "borrows" it to see if it is fake while Chad and Joe decide to bring Reese back to earth by telling Reese he is now too good for them. But the Rangers have bigger problems when Parmalee returns from Austin.

A Taste of Money

When the Laredo Bank vault is jammed, the Rangers grab Reese's eccentric, elderly inventor friend Major Cane to successfully open it like magic. A couple of bank robbers watching him do it, have a con artist partner convince Cane to open another vault in the Porforio Bank - this time without the knowledge of the bank management. Parmalee sends the Rangers to investigate the robbery where they realize that the inventor was involved with the robbery, but can't believe he's turned into a criminal. They send Reese to determine where the whereabouts of Cane during the robbery but Reese is kidnapped by the robbers to use as leverage to force Cane to help them rob the biggest cache of cash in Texas - The Cattle Buyer's Exchange. Worried about Reese's disappearance, Chad and Joe make use of a friendly mutt to sniff out Reese's location. It keeps the robbers busy and tied up in the ropes due to the complexity of the plan while he frees Reese.
