Dragon at the Door

Slim Sherman and Jess Harper rescue a troupe of Japanese entertainers on their way east when their wagon breaks down near the ranch. Following the wagon closely are a trio of outlaws that believe the troupe is carrying a fortune in opium and they want it. The only thing that they carry is one small boy named Mike Williams who they'd found unconscious on the side of the road. Due to the broken axle on the wagon they are forced lay over at Sherman Ranch to make repairs and give Slim and Jess a lesson in Japanese culture, though it leaves Jess a little bruised. Determined to repay Slim and Jess for their kindness, the troupe puts on an evenings entertainment that turns violent when the outlaws take over the ranch looking for the opium. Instead of opium the outlaws find something far more explosive and Slim and Jess find themselves temporary guardians to Mike.

Ladies' Day

Slim Sherman and Jess Harper are in a bind. They need a housekeeper, fast, to help corral the energetic Mike Williams so that he can live at the ranch permanently. Enter Daisy Cooper, who has arrived at Sherman Ranch believing that she is owner of a store in Sherman, Wyoming. Also coming on the stage is Sam Willet, posing as a doctor, and curvaceous Sally Malone, who is applying for the housekeeper job. Then there's the complications of the bounty hunter looking for Willet and Judge Henry coming to see if Slim and Jess are suitable guardians for Mike. Things only go from bad worse when Jess is forced to shoot the bounty hunter, Sam Willet shows his true colors and the judge arrives. Somehow Daisy manages to make sure everything turns out, with a little bit of help from Mike, Slim and Jess.

Siege at Jubilee

Daisy Cooper and Jess Harper get more that they bargained for when Daisy takes Jess to the dentist in Cheyenne and he ends up deputized to escort prisoner Hobey Devon back to Laramie. Devon robbed the bank in Laramie and got caught, but not before he hid the stolen money somewhere near Jubilee. Now the gang he was with is going to hijack the stage to get Devon but their inside man jumps the gun and now the stage is on the Old Laramie road to elude them. When the stage breaks down Jess, Hobey, Daisy and the rest of the passengers must head to the ghost town of Jubilee if they are to hide from the gang. With help from Daisy and even Devon, Jess may just have a chance of getting them all back to Laramie alive.

The Mountain Men

A deputy brings Joe Vance his meal in the Laramie jail the day before he is to leave for prison. As the sheriff locks the cell a shot rings out nearly hitting Joe Vance. After firing the shot, Carl Sanford rides off to tell his father what he has learned. Meanwhile, Daisy Cooper hoodwinks Slim Sherman and Jess Harper into painting the barn roof while she and Mike head to town, much to their chagrin. Neither Slim nor Jess planned on Ben, Carl and John Sanford using Sherman Ranch to hang Joe Vance, who's being transferred to Fort Leavenworth. Vance murdered Warren Sanford and Ben is after his own brand of justice and not what the court handed out. Slim and Jess are trapped into helping when the Sanford's threaten to harm Daisy and Mike if they don't. It's one of the Sanford's though, that springs the trap for Vance prematurely, allowing Slim and Jess the opening they need to stop the murderous Carl from going too far.

The Fatal Step

Jess Harper is riding shotgun on a stage carrying a $20,000 payroll and he doesn't know that the coach has been sabotaged so that it will wreck. Jess' friend Tad Kimball is responsible for the sabotage so that he and Wes Darrin can steal the money. Jess hits the trail after men whole robbed the stage, not knowing that one of them is Tad. Slim finds evidence that Tad's involved and starts after Jess, who's trailed the bandits to Billings. Jess sets a trap and catches Tad who then takes him to the money. Wes is waiting for them and attempts to murder Jess but Tad saves his life. Then the crooked sheriff arrives, takes the money and traps both men in the mine where the money was hidden. Slim arrives in Billings looking for Jess and gets conflicting stories from the sheriff and other people he talks to but time is running out at the mine. Slim has to find out what's going on before it's too late to help Jess and Tad.

The Last Journey

Ex-convict John Cole shows up at Sherman Ranch with the wounded Marshal Briggs and stirs up old memories for Slim Sherman. Cole tried framing Slim for cattle rustling and Slim hasn't forgotten nor is he convinced that Cole is a changed man as he claims. Slim reluctantly agrees to go with Cole to retrieve the payroll money from his last robbery. Things get complicated when Cole finds out his wife has died just recently and that his step-daughter, Mary, hates him. They are joined by Danny Hode, son of his late partner and finally Damon Johntry, his other partner. Hode wants Cole dead, Johntry wants the money, and John Cole bargains the payroll for the lives of Mary and Slim. The odds are stacked against Slim and he has to trust the very man who could double-cross them all.

Deadly Is the Night

Jess Harper is on his way home to Laramie and gets more than he bargained for when he's forced to stop and rest his lame horse at Ma Tolliver's. Outlaw Matt Dyer and his gang arrive and take Jess, Ma and her grand-daughter Sue, hostage while he waits for his girlfriend. Dyer is a cruel man who enjoys toying with his hostages while he waits, but he doesn't know that the sheriff has his girlfriend in jail. The danger increases when the posse searching for Dyer shows up at the ranch, though Ma denies seeing anything of Dyer. The sheriff isn't fooled but can't do anything because of the hostages. With the house surrounded by the posse, Dyer uses Jess and the others as human shields to prevent the posse from storming the house. Dyer's plan backfires and the posse forces his hand and the outlaws, including Dyer, scatter but Jess won't let Dyer get away.

The Accusers

Slim Sherman and Daisy Cooper are visiting Laramie, Slim for stage line business and Daisy for shopping. Daisy is sleeping in her hotel room when an argument wakens her. She witnesses a man leaving the room down the hall and when she goes to investigate, finds Carla dead on the floor. The sheriff arrests the wrong man and there is misunderstanding when Daisy identifies the murderer. She later finds out that the man she saw is Allen Winter, Slim's boss but she can't make Slim believe that Winter is the one she saw. Daisy's accusation is finally made public but with no proof it's her word against Winter's. With Daisy determined to find proof, Winter is getting desperate and he'll do anything to stop her including sabotage. The danger to Daisy is increasing and Slim may not be able stop it.

Wolf Cub

When Jess Harper saves a young, crippled Blackfoot boy from a scalp hunter he involves himself, Slim Sherman, Daisy Cooper and Mike in a whole mess of trouble. Defying an Army edict for helping the Blackfoot lands Jess in hot water. The boy, Lame Wolf, would see them all dead except for the hope of fixing the lameness that has turned his own father against him. The scalp hunter, having had the boy taken from him twice, would see Jess' scalp numbered among his trophies. When a sympathetic Army surgeon fixes the boy's leg, it opens up an opportunity to make peace with the Blackfoot. The scalp hunter has other ideas which drives the boy, with Mike, into the hills to search for his father and prove that he is his father's son. With the scalp hunter following behind it's up to Jess stop him before anyone gets hurt.

Slim Sherman, who was present at the massacre and a witness at the court martial, finds himself taken hostage by the colonel's daughter, Madge, who's come to Laramie carrying papers that will guarantee her father's vision for the Native American population is carried out. What Barrington doesn't know is that he's lost support in Washington and he's now viewed as a traitor. For Slim it's out of the frying pan and into the fire when he escapes only to find that there are Sioux in the area. Now trapped with Barrington and a handful of his loyal officers, Slim has to negotiate with the Sioux warriors, who want Barrington to pay for his crimes. Slim, Madge, Barrington, and his men just might end up a sacrifice to Barrington's arrogance.

Wade is an ex-con, sent to prison for a crime he claims he didn't commit and he appears to be down and out on his luck. Jess and Tom know of each other by reputation but they have never met. Jess loans Tom some money which he uses to win big against the Bartell brothers who are known trouble makers. Julie Wade, Tom's wife, arrives in Laramie looking for Mort Cory, since they've been working trying to clear her husband. She tells Jess that Wade is out to kill Mort Cory, the man he believes framed him and sent him to prison. Meanwhile Milt Lane, Wade's former employer and the man who really framed him for robbery, has come to town to help his 'friend' Tom. Lane really wants Wade dead and he doesn't care who gets in the way, including Jess and Mort Cory.

The Jailbreakers

In Cheyenne Gil Martin is meeting in the livery stable with his girlfriend and saloon worker Gina Ross. He has been released on parole with a job offer from his Civil War friend Slim Sherman near Laramie. He is leaving for it and hopes to have Gina join him when he has the money to marry her. Their friend Lila Stevens pops in to tell him to hurry as Marshal Al Dawson is on his way. He wants to kill Gil and marry Gina himself. Before Gil leaves the marshal enters with the three arguing. When Gina tries to stop Al, he accidentally shoots and kills Gina. Gil leaves by a back door but Al forces Lila to say Gil killed Gina. Slim reads about Gil being wanted in the paper so he is not surprised when Gil shows up looking for help. Slim wants him to surrender to Sheriff Cory but Gil tells him his story and that Lila is in Laramie. He knocks out Slim who is awaken by Dawson and his men looking for Gil. Slim finds himself in jail for aiding Gil who is wounded. Gil breaks out Slim who has to resolve the issue for both of them.

The Lawless Seven

Jess Harper's temper gets him in trouble again when he's framed for the murder of a rancher, John Gorman, who broke a contract to sell horses to Sherman Ranch. Jess took a punch at the owner's nephew Rink when he attempted to throw Jess off the ranch. Jess threatens to return to settle accounts with Gorman. Jess with a lame horse is tracked down by the Sheriff and a posse who wants to lynch him. Wounded and on the run from a posse, Jess lands in a nest of vipers when he finds refuge with Calvin Hawks and his gang. It's a precarious situation for Jess with part of the gang wanting him dead and part wanting to use him in their next robbery. With Jess branded an outlaw he must stay with Hawks' gang in their big bank heist just to stay alive and help Ginny Hawks, Calvin's blind daughter, and her mother escape the life that they've been forced to live. Now Jess has to foil the robbery and clear his name without losing his life.

The Perfect Gift

The Cady brothers have vowed revenge against the Arapaho woman, Winona, who was acquitted of murdering their brother with Slim on the jury. The two younger brothers Wayne and Lon try to kill her by knocking her out and setting her hut on fire. Sherman Ranch gets caught in the middle when Slim Sherman rescues Winona from certain death in the fire. In return Winona becomes the property of the young rancher, much to his chagrin based on Arapaho law which say a life saved belongs to the one who saved it. Slim tries at first to ignore the custom but when she follows him home, he takes in much to the delight of a tickled Jess. Slim is attracted to the pretty Arapaho, but her heart belongs to another even though she is paying a debt of honor demanded by her tribe. With the Cady's wanting her dead, her presence at the ranch puts Slim and Jess Harper in danger, because the Cady's are out for blood and they don't care who gets in their way.

The Barefoot Kid

Jess Harper is on his way back to Laramie after negotiating a large sale of cattle when his horse is stolen. Left afoot, the angry cowboy trails both horse and thief to Dry Springs where he catches up with the young Mexican, Juan De La O. After the horse threw a shoe, he walked the horse barefoot to a blacksmith preventing harm to the horse. Jess calls for the sheriff despite a warning from a woman and turns him over to the sheriff. Jess is forced to stay in town for the trial where he is shocked at the verdict of death by hanging for Juan. The judge along with his daughter and sheriff is seeking to payback the Mexican he blames for the murder of his son, a deputy, and he is using Juan. Faced with watching the boy swing at the end of a rope, Jess is desperate to stop a gross miscarriage of justice and it will put him on the wrong side of the law.

Shadows in the Dust

Slim Sherman, appointed special detective by the Cattleman's Association, to investigate a spate of rustlers stealing cattle with Sherman Ranch being one of the most recent victims. After one of the rustlers takes a shot at him but misses he heads to Edgerton for help but the Sheriff is unable for a couple of days. He finds himself on the trail of Jean Lavelle and her longtime helper Gimp who have been stealing cattle from the larger ranches as payback. Another rustler Ralph who joined them is responsible for the theft of the Sherman Ranch stock and putting a determined Slim on their trail. In a shootout with Jean, Slim is wounded but captures her anyway. Slim risks his life, determined to take Jean to Cheyenne to stand trial and minimize the risk of her being lynched back in Edgerton, all the while being trailed by Gimp and Ralph plus the sheriff of Edgerton along with his deputy. With his bullet wound festering, it is questionable whether he and Jean will make it to Cheyenne alive.

The Runaway

Billy Watkins is a trouble making teenager that has arrived in Laramie to live with his uncle. He's fallen in with a couple of drifters and now he's under their thumb. When they try rustling Sherman cattle and Billy is caught, Daisy convinces Jess not to press charges but to make Billy work off the damages. Billy rubs Jess the wrong way with his sullen attitude but young Mike takes a shine to him, especially since he's teaching Billy to read. When a run in with Jess causes Billy to run away, he heads back to his no account friends, who are planning to rob his uncle. Daisy, having convinced Jess to take her to town to search for Billy, end up a hostage with Billy while his friends try to rob his uncle. It's up to Jess to stop them before Daisy, Billy and his uncle get hurt.

The Confederate Express

On the run from a posse, Matt Grundy comes to Laramie with a silver tongue and bag full of explosives to win back his wife and daughter. Shot at on the trail he makes to his wife Martha and daughter Tina's home near Laramie. He tells her he is returning for Tina's birthday and he wants to stay but Martha want nothing to do with him. He stays long enough to do some work as Slim rides up with food from Daisy and plans to fix the gate Matt has just fixed. Slim offers him work at his ranch thinking he is just a drifter passing through. He manages to fool everyone into thinking he's in Laramie to deposit a bank draft and that the posse after him is a gang after the bank draft. Slim Sherman and Jess Harper find themselves taken in by Grundy, especially after he saves Jess from being crushed by the stagecoach he was repairing. Grundy's real purpose is to rob the Laramie bank and it could end up costing both Slim and Jess their lives.

The High Country

A young girl is with her small white horse when a shot rings out at them causing the horse to run away. Slim Sherman is up in the high country catching horses for the ranch when he catches her horse that he thinks is ideal for Mike. When Mike's horse is stolen from the ranch by the girl that night, Slim hits the trail the next day to find the horse eventually catching up with the girl and horse. She and her friends assume he is one of the ranchers they are fighting. He is in the middle of a war between squatters and cattlemen up in the high country. Rancher Mel Bishop is desperate to find better range for his cattle and Jason Duncan is leader of the squatters on government land denying Bishop access. The girl Willow is the daughter of Duncan who wants a peaceful and remote life but the younger members of the squatters are not as content. It's up to Slim to help two stubborn men find common ground before lives are lost, including his own.

A Grave for Cully Brown

Jess Harper is on his way back to Laramie after a cattle sale when he stops to help a stranger involved in a gun fight with two men. The man, Cully Brown, is caught up in a gun battle with bounty hunters but he doesn't tell Jess. They are able to drive off the bounty hunters but Cully has lost his horse so Jess lets him ride double with him to a nearby town. They are enjoying drinks at a saloon when another man pulls a gun to shoot at them. Jess kills the man but is severely wounded in the head. They think he is going to die but he recovers only to find Cully switched identities with him and took his money from the cattle sale. Locked up, Jess is able to escape but finds himself involved in a deadly game of stolen identities, theft, jail breaking, and attempted murder as he tries to find the man who stole his name, his money, left him for dead and facing a hangman's noose.

The Runt

Sandy and Marcy Catlin come out of the bank after having made their first payment on their $500 loan Slim Sherman cosigned. A local drunk but big man Charlie pushes them off the boardwalk causing the diminutive Sandy to try fighting him but with little success as Slim steps in. The Catlin brothers are a trio of murderous outlaws on the run and headed to Laramie which spells trouble for their step-brother Sandy who they call The Runt, his wife Marcy and acting sheriff Slim Sherman. Lou, Rix, and Colby Catlin have little use for Sandy except as a means to an end. Holding Marcy hostage they force Sandy to go back to work in the stage line office so he can feed them information on coaches carrying money. When that doesn't net them enough money, they force Sandy and Marcy to help them rob the bank. Sandy's job is to ensure Slim is out of the way while they do it or Marcy's life is forfeit but they don't trust Sandy and they want to make sure that Slim isn't able to follow them, permanently.

The Dynamiters

Outlaw Bob Murkland has teamed up with Dave Boyd who has developed a crude timer to set off dynamite using acid. After seeing it work, they agree to use the device to blow up a stage and rob it. The Bank of Laramie is shipping $50,000 to Denver for redeposit and Jess Harper is riding shotgun on the stage which is their target. Jess has recommended Marshal Jim Tenney and his crew to protect the shipment with him. When the money is stolen, Jess ends up chasing the wounded thief into the hills, where he makes a deal to patch Bob Murkland up in exchange for a share of the money. What Jess doesn't bargain for is Sarah Hodding and her son Peter. Sarah doesn't realize what Peter senses and Jess knows, that Bob Murkland, her fiancé, is a no good thief. What Jess doesn't realize is that Murkland saw him in Laramie with the U.S. Marshal that was escorting the stage, and that fact might get Jess killed.

Day of the Savage

The stage carrying a single passenger, Patricia Marr, stops when the driver and shotgun spot a man laying in the ditch with an arrow in him. As the shotgun checks the man, Sioux braves attack the stage forcing it to take off on a run. At the Sherman Ranch and Relay Station Glen Colton arrives to wait for his fiancé on the stage. As he waits he spots a Sioux brave so he fires while yelling for Daisy and Mike to get inside. One of braves is able to come up from behind and knock Colton out and tie him up. When they attack the relay station, Slim Sherman and Jess Harper arrive in the nick of time to save Colton, Daisy Cooper and Mike Williams. An Army troop arrives shot up by the Sioux. Slim and Jess end up agreeing to help Colton search for the missing stage but events along the way raise warning flags with both men. Colton is more than what he seems and is the key to the death of an important Sioux chief and stolen treaty money. The search for answers could help Slim and Jess avert a full scale Sioux uprising.

Justice in a Hurry

There is bad blood between Ev Kelleher and Marv Jackson as Kelleher believes Jackson is killing his cattle. Kelleher makes threats in the casino but the local Judge tells him to cool off. Later, during the evening he finds a man at a waterhole on his ranch. The man is Slim returning to Laramie but Kelleher tries to take him to the law until Slim overpowers him and then returns his gun. When Jackson is murdered in front of witnesses, all fingers point at Kelleher. Kelleher claims that he was confronting a cowboy on his property at the time of the murder but the Judge refuses to believe Kelleher. The Judge won't even provide a delay in the trial so his daughter Julie heads off in search of Slim hoping she can return in time with him. By the time they get back to town, the trial has been held and Ev Kelleher hung for murder. But things are not what they seem and Slim and Julie set out to prove someone else murdered Marv Jackson and that the town was in a hurry to hang the wrong man. Their efforts to expose the real murderer could get them both killed.

The Replacement

Slim and Jess are on a posse led by Sheriff Mort Cory that traps a seventeen year old who committed a robbery in Laramie. After the robber takes a shot that hits Jess' coat, Mort is forced to shoot killing the robber. Killing such a young man upsets Mort as well as the mayor and city council who decide to bring in a new deputy who might replace Mort. Paul Halleck arrives in Laramie with his daughter Sharon to become the new deputy sheriff and possibly Sheriff Mort Cory's replacement. Halleck's arrival stirs up bitter memories for Jess of his imprisonment in the Yankee prison camp commanded by Halleck. Sharon, the daughter, tries to tell Jess that her father has equally bad memories due to his lack of resources to do more for the prisoners. Jess' desire for revenge drives a wedge in his friendship with Slim and the wedge is driven deeper when a group of Jess's fellow prisoners arrive in Laramie to follow through on their pact to kill Halleck. Jess becomes a man at war with himself and that war puts him on opposing sides of his friends Slim and Mort Cory. Will Jess do the right thing?

The Turn of the Wheel

Right before the stage arrives a young man rides up to the Sherman ranch asking Jess if he and his horse can have some water to which Jess readily agrees. The stage pulls up and a lone passenger Frank Mannus gets out. The man fires his pistol at Mannus making a flesh wound in his left arm. Slim stops the boy while Jess helps Mannus. As Daisy dresses the wound, Mannus reveals the boy is Billy O'Neill, the brother of Slim's one time love, Abbey. After five years in prison, Frank Mannus is returning to Laramie to reopen the Nugget Casino and with him will be Abbey O'Neill. Abbey's return kindles old feelings with Slim but all isn't as it seems and when Abbey's brother is killed, Sheriff Cory asks Slim to take Mannus' offer of learning the casino business. It seems that Mannus is about to sell some counterfeit plates to a very nasty eastern syndicate and Cory needs help until the marshals arrive. The presence of the plates in Laramie puts Abbey, Slim, Jess Harper and Mort Cory in danger unless they can turn the tables on the Mannus and the eastern syndicate. The syndicate plays dirty and they play for keeps.

Trial by Fire

The hills around Laramie are ablaze from a forest fire and Jess Harper goes to help a neighboring rancher, Lars Carlson, and his stepson Garth save their place from the encroaching flames. However, Lars requests help of a different kind from Jess. His mail order bride, Sarah is arriving in Laramie and Lars asks Jess to meet her and keep her in town until the danger passes. Jess reluctantly agrees and meets the stage in Laramie. However, when Sarah learns Lars is facing the fire she demands to go to him at his ranch immediately. Jess reluctantly agrees but on the trip he finds that Sarah is not who Lars believes her to be, but agrees to keep the secret until she is forced to reveal the truth. In addition, Garth is no fan of her believing if she marries the much older Lars, he will lose his interest in the ranch. But Sarah's past has followed her to Laramie and that could pose as much danger to Lars and Jess as the fire burning out of control in the hills.

Meanwhile, Norma Frances with her daughter Kathy have tracked her husband's horse to an abandoned ranch where they find his horse among others. Norma seeing the rickety well top decides to go for water herself but the old wood breaks letting her fall into the well with the winch on top of her. Kathy rides for help finding Slim, Daisy and Mike returning from Laramie. They become embroiled in a tense and dangerous situation when Kathy's plea to rescue her mother lands them in the midst of outlaws who've just robbed the Laramie stage. The outlaws return surprised to find everyone at the ranch. With no hope for help other than the outlaws, one of whom, Ben Frances, is the trapped woman's husband, Slim risks his life to keep Daisy and Mike safe, rescue the woman and foil the outlaws plans for the stolen money. His only ally, the outlaw, Ben whose wife Slim is trying rescue.
