The second heat of season nine features 8 invited artists capturing the interesting architecture around the Liverpool Docks, while 50 other artists vie for a wild card nearby. The judges will pick a winner to advance and a wild card.
Episode 3
Hever Lake
The third heat of season nine features 8 invited artists expressing their impression of Hever Lake and its architectural features, while 50 other artists vie for a wild card nearby. The judges will pick a winner to advance and wild card.
Episode 4
Stonehaven
The fourth heat of season nine features 8 invited artists capturing the picturesque harbour at Stonehaven in Scotland, while 50 other artists vie for a wild card nearby. The judges will pick a winner to advance and a wild card.
Episode 5
Liverpool Three Graces
The fifth heat of season nine features 8 invited artists capturing Liverpool's 'Three Graces', while 50 other artists vie for a wild card nearby on the waterfront. The judges will pick a winner to advance and wild card.
Episode 6
Hever Castle
The sixth heat of season nine features 8 invited artists capturing picturesque Hever Castle in Kent, while 50 other artists vie for a wild card on the the other side of the castle. The judges will pick a winner to advance and wild card.
Episode 7
Semi-Final: Buckler's Hard Hampshire
The ninth season semi-final features six heat winners and a wild card, their task is to depict the historical shipbuilding hamlet of Buckler's Hard within the New Forest. From these competitors the judges will select the three finalists.
Episode 8
The Final: Covent Garden
The ninth season final sees the three finalists producing a landscape of Covent Garden, they are also given a separate commission - a location where they live or work. Prize is a £10,000 commission of Orkney focusing on renewable energy.
Episode 9
Winner's Film: The Orkney Islands
The winner of the ninth season of Landscape Artist of the Year undertakes a £10,000 commission from the Science Museum to create a landscape of Orkney that celebrates its important role in the development of renewable energy sources.
