"His accordion is 40 years old...he's over 90. Mr. Pete Barron. One of Placentia Bay's master players. Still cranking out the old tunes most have long forgotten. Pete Barron learned his first tunes in the now abandoned community of St. Joseph's. He played for his first wedding when he was just eight...a wedding held in the back kitchen of the newlyweds' house. His was the time of tunes...the time of square dances and kitchen parties...a time when the accordion was king, and the islands of Placentia Bay were still settled. In the bottom of the bay, Pete Barron was known to have never played for a bad dance...because if Pete was the player, the dance was always good. Mr Pete Barron. A living piece of musical history."
