Episode 1
It's been three months since Larry and Cathy broke up. When he meets Tina Olsen and wants to ask her out, he discovers he's lost his self-confidence.

A 21-year-old girl arrives at the door believing that Larry is her real father.

Larry tries to help Guido get a second chance to write the history exam he cheated on. Larry discovers that he too had failed his exam and didn't deserve his high-school diploma.

When Tina Olsen invites Larry to spend the night at her apartment, he discovers he's not yet ready for a serious relationship .

Impressed with a poem that Guido has written, Larry takes it to pair of songwriters for a professional opinion. When the song becomes a big hit, Larry blames himself for letting the songwriters steal Guido's Poem.

Larry's relationship with Tina is shaken by the arrival of a very attractive woman who opens a store next to King's.

Carol invites Larry to go away for a ski weekend. Larry becomes jealous when he thinks that Tina has accepted a similar offer from Phil, and finds himself caught in a double standard.

Larry discovers that his delivery boy Guido, who is almost completely blind, is driving his van without a license and without glasses.

Jack Soble reluctantly faces automatic retirement. UnIess Larry can think of a way out, the depressed Jack will go off to a condominium in Florida leaving Gladys and all his friends behind .

Charlie is a nervous wreck and needs a break from his job as a writer of the Dear Aunt Martha advice column. King takes over for him and does so well that Charlie gets fired and King is offered the job.

Larry throws a stag party for Phil the barber, who is marrying Tina's room-mate, Irene. Larry and the guys roast Phil so effectively about the pitfalls of married life that Phil cancels the wedding.

As coach of the Kensington Komets, Larry gets into an argument with the coach of the visiting Rimouski Rockets. The Rimouski coach blames Larry when the referee gives him a bench penalty, and threatens to Lake his team out of the series unless Larry agrees to stay away from the rink.

After a convoluted series of events, Larry ends up spending the night at Tina's apartment, and their tranquility is interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Tina's parents.
