Apparently, he's gone to save the woman at the Post Office from a "fate worse than death"(Hyacinth?!). Hyacinth and Richard then visit a stately home. Hyacinth's ambition for Richard includes grooming him in such crucial matters as wearing a bow-tie, while she networks by volunteering herself and Elizabeth to work a day in nastily-haughty Councillor Nugent's charity shop, but when Daisy calls and announces that their daddy has a woman, Hyacinth goes to great lengths--literally, actually most conspicuously--to avoid even Liz discovering how that family branch lives. Alas, the woman claims that she was the one taken advantage of, and her son is unwilling to come and get her even when tracked down, until he's exposed to man-eater Rose .

Hyacinth's detailed instructions make most people avoid her, even if that means ducking to the floor with a flimsy excuse. Patient neighbour Elizabeth, who claims one gets used to it, gets through another coffee--through the back door, after gardening--but is terrified to help Richard carry the precious china to the church hall for a guest speaker, where every room clears at Hyacinth's arrival. Meanwhile, Daisy 'borrows' Rose's sweet, cute, 17-year-old biker ex, hoping to make Onslow jealous, but he only notices an additional source of free cigarettes, so the sisters hope Richard can get the message through.

Episode 6
30 mins
It's the day of Daisy's granddaughter's christening and Hyacinth is most displeased that Stephanie, Daisy's daughter, is not married. But with some encouragement from Richard, Hyacinth agrees to go to the christening with an open mind, until of course the mother and child go missing.
