Born and raised in Southern Ontario, JP grew up fishing the myriad of species that were available in the diverse bodies of water surrounding his home. JP spent over 15 years fishing competitive bass tournaments in Ontario and has been hosting his own fishing show since 2007. His latest series, JP DeRose Breaking Boundaries affords JP the opportunity to take his knowledge around the world searching for new species, challenges and new techniques that exist in his fishing family tree that is the basis of his journey.
