Zhang Qing was a college student and he wanted Professor Ye to be his graduate teacher. For convincing her, Zhang took part in a writing competition and hoped to use his own novel to make Professor Ye to be moved. In the story, Fan Xian who was the main character of the novel was originally a person from our world that had myasthenia gravis. He accidentally got a second chance to be reborn in another world and was a bad of an government official of Qing. He was hunted by assassins since he was a baby, so he was sent to live with his grandmother in Danzhou which was a small town that was quite peaceful. Fan was taught by Fei Jie who knew a lot about poisons and Wu Zhu who could fight very well and was the one who saved him When his mother was killed and was protecting him all the time. Therefore Fan became poison proof and knew how to use his inborn vitality. He was waiting for The Knights in Red Armors to be come.

Fan was assassinated by an official of Jianchayuan called Teng Zijing. The latter was beaten by Fan and later got the information that the order of killing Fan was fake. Fan helped him disappear and decided to go to the capital to investigate. Meanwhile, for opening the box that was left by Fan's mum, Wu Zhu decided to go to the capital too. On the way, Fan found that he was going to the capital to get married. He met Fei Jie who was taking Yan Bingyun who was punished because of sending Teng to North Qi to run a intelligence network. The latter was trying to rob the waist tag from Fan but was stopped by Fei. In addition, Teng was with Fan and was about to do some other stuff in the capital. After they arrived, a carter took the carriage of Fan and they were passing by a temple. Fan curiously went to the gate of the temple and met a guard who could use his inborn vitality very well.

Fan was allowed to get into the temple. He met a girl with a drumstick in her hand. They fell in love at first sight. But Fan forgot to ask for her name. Later, the person who allowed Fan to get into the temple left there and he was the emperor of Qing. His son Li Chengqian who was the crown prince of Qing had a close relationship with Gong Dian, the guard in the temple who took care of the safety of the emperor which couldn't be allowed. Therefore, Emperor played a trick that successfully destroyed their relationship and was interested in Fan because of an unknown reason. Meanwhile, Fan arrived at the Fans' courtyard. He got an information that said his step mother Liu Ruyu might be the person who wanted to kill him. Out there, the latter was always trying to make difficulties for him for defending the position of her son Fan Sizhe who was only a playboy. Fan Ruoruo who was Fan's sister that was close to Fan since they were children helped him a lot. Finally, Fan Jian who was Fan's father returned home and decided to have a meet with him.

Meanwhile, The Emperor found that Li and The Crown Prince were trying to smear Fan's reputation to stop him from marrying Lin and then get the right to control Neiku. He taught them a lesson on how to get things by some smarter ways and he seemed to have a lot secrets. In late night, Teng came to Fan and told him about his secrets. He was set up because of offending an influential man. Jianchayuan recruited him because of his extraordinary fighting skills but he lost contact with his family. Fan had the waist tag of Tisi which could help him read more files and use more ways to find his family members. They had a deal and decided to work together.
