After Josh's girlfriend Millie dumps him whilst he is dangling from a rope on a Go Ape course somebody films him and consequently he goes viral. Geoff offers rooftop advice but this only adds to another humiliation being uploaded. Meanwhile a nervous Owen takes his driving test with a grumpy examiner but their both being Swansea boys appears to help - until Owen goes too far - and Kate takes her mother Judith to what they think is immersive theatre but is actually an office, where they cause havoc. Ultimately all three flatmates end up facing the police.

Josh's agent gets him work on tour, supporting arrogant TV comedian Max Thompson, who persists in annoying him. However his criticism of Max's show destroys his chance of making it big on the box. Owen is worried he will lose his girlfriend, musicals star Diana Vickers, if she appears on 'Strictly Come Dancing' but his lack of support gets him dumped anyway whilst Geoff plays the sympathy card to beat Kate at his favourite board game.

Kate agrees to be godmother to her friend Karen's little son Oscar but finds herself being exploited as a free baby-sitter to a child who constantly plays up and exhausts her. The boys suggest she hires a paid sitter, which works well until Kate realizes she has been deceived by her friend's excuses. Meanwhile Owen persuades Josh to join a spin club to improve his gym performance - which almost ends in disaster when he sets out to beat his exercise bike buddy Ellie after Owen tells him she is on steroids.

Josh finds himself having to lug heavy deliveries up four flights of stairs for elderly Violet, who blackmails him with the knowledge of his porn box when he refuses. Meanwhile Owen must continue to assume an Irish accent to impress visiting American Lauren but comes unstuck when she introduces him to an Irish friend and Geoff regrets taking in an injured swan - though it does help Josh to get Violet off his back.

Kate is angry when the ten year old daughter of her new date enters Kate's photo in a competition as her own and wins first prize, leading Kate to take revenge - which rather backfires on her. Josh, meanwhile, persuades Geoff, a former champion at online football gaming, to take his place against the rival who always beats him and Owen is irritated by a new colleague, Brian, at the café, who squirrels off the tips into a jar collecting for a supposedly made up charity. However Owen has the last laugh.

Josh only wants a night in alone, watching television and ordering pizza but Kate and Owen both arrive home early, stood up by their dates. Furthermore the pizza is delivered to the wrong address and Geoff also turns up to claim some of their furniture for another let. The pizza delivery man eventually arrives but it will be a long time before Josh gets what he actually ordered.
