Jay is a huge fan of the car because TVR developed its own engine, the "Speed Six", rather than using a common outsourced motor. The fiberglass-bodied car weighs only 2,300 pounds and has a 4.0-liter, four-valve, twin-cam straight-six engine that produces 390 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The engine's cylinder head is wide because it was based on a motorbike engine design and features finger followers for the camshafts.
