It's More Fun in the Philippines

Join Alex Outhwaite as she embarks on an island hopping tour of the Philippines, accompanied by friend and tourism advocate Mel Dizon. They'll climb an active volcano in Lake Taal, meet the world tiniest primates, learn about a Boodle Fight, and grind coffee with the indigenous people of Palawan. Of course they will also marvel at the stunning landscapes, dive in the crystal clear turquoise waters, and sample the diverse cuisine, as they visit the islands of Bohol, Cebu, Siargao, and Coron.

Episode 1

Swimming with the Sharks

A brand new tour, and a new travelling partner for Mel Dizon, as her friend Liu Batchelor joins her for another amazing adventure. This time the pair are on a mission to discover some of the Philippines lesser known tourist options, and are certainly thrown in at the deep end as they go swimming with some enormous whale sharks. Mel's bravado is tested with a cliff jump, and Liu overcomes her nerves to dive on an old shipwreck. They are immersed in local culture as they try and learn some colourful dances, and spend a memorable day island hopping, with lunch on a sandbar, and a visit to the famous 'Selfie Island'.
