Episode 1
The shadowy forests of Yala National Park are the perfect hideout for secretive leopards. One young female, Asha, has never before ventured beyond her mother's territory - two square miles of lakeside hunting ground teeming with spotted deer and wild boar, a leopard's ideal prey.

Deep in the heart of Sri Lanka is the Minnriya National Park, a wildlife sanctuary, 90 square kilometers of forest and grassland, surrounding one of the largest reservoirs in the country. As baby elephant Loka navigates his way among the behemoths he must learn some crucial life lessons - suckling, swimming and getting a handle on his unwieldy trunk all under the watchful eye of his family.

From the windswept cloud forest, where blanketed limbs soak up the saturated air through the lush tropical rainforest teeming with life, to the sultry mangroves that stand rooted at the edge of the Indian Ocean, this is a voyage of contrasts. From cold to hot, high to low, fresh to salty, a journey across the monsoon island as water flows from cloud to coast.

For a couple of perfect months every year, it's mating time. But this wonderland is also a haven for hunters.
